aRFR remote control for Android
I've updated to a Galaxy S8+ and it took a bit of work to get it to connect but it is finally working again.
This is a must have for every Master Electrician with this family of consoles.
IT NEEDS UPDATING NOT CRASHING
Ok da
I'm still waiting on the update that fixes crash on launch. -----OS updated the other day, aRFR crashes upon opening. Says error report is generating, but no dialog I'd opened after & I'm dumped back to the desktop. I'm already annoyed that I paid $50 for a minimal app that isn't being developed further, now it doesn't even start.
I will give 5 stars then. Also, direct select access would be killer.
Crashes on Android 5.1 and is a completely different app compared to irfr.. Where is the the ETC support we all know and love?
Love you guys, but please fix this app so it does not force close at start.
Does, as advertised, everything the RFR does and more, and much more reliable and faster than the RFR, but for one thing. In channel check, I'm tapping the Next button dozens of times in a row, but looking at the stage, not the phone, so my thumb can drift off the Next button on the screen. Could the app take over the volume up/down buttons and interpret them as Next/Prev, similar to the thumbwheel on the RFR?
I am continuing to get an error trying to download full version. 50$ investment I am trying to make and it's not happening. Please fix or at least respond to my emails.
Would love to be able to take notes on cues and email as the iPad app does.
Works alright but is a bit half assed. Missing features that iRFR has, no reason for this. Basically no test period and $50 is ridiculous for what it is, even if it does go to charity.
But hasn't been updated in years, lags behind the iOS version, and as others have noted, crashes on Android 5.1+
Helpful to have a remote for your console always in your pocket, but functionality is rough. Definitely could use improvements /updates.
But way better than nothing.
Please fix! This app is essential for any eos/Cobalt user. Now it won't even start.
Thousands of times better than the remote control that comes as a very expensive add on to the consoles.
Im having some trubl cunecting to my etc ion can enyone help
Now I know this is a Great App as a lighting technician by trade, I have a copy on IOS but however cannot purchase this on 5.01 on a Nexus 5 as 'This App uses a billing format no longer supported.' as the message tells me..
When I go to buy the full app it says that it is using the wrong payment version and crashes out. ETC can you please fix this ASAP
It won't let me buy the full app. Please fix. I'm working on a show that needs it
I bought this primary for the cue notes function I saw on a friends irfr. I can't believe this hasn't got it. What a waste of £31. How do I get my money back?
Great app, and when you purchase it it supports a great cause.
Getting "expired" bit just now DL'd. Is iy because i havent "set ip" a console in settings yet?
Easy setup.
guess
I got really excited when I saw it was free. This is only a test version though. You have to pay $53 to unlock the full version.
Thanks for releasing the Android version of RFR. It saves time and energy by not having to run to the booth every time I need to work on a unit.
Awesome, thanks ETC for finally bringing this over to Android.
The ETC Remote app that started on iPhone finally comes to Android! We use it in demo with all of our Ion and Element consoles. And the occasional Eos demo.
...from a great company...to use with a great console family. Love it!
GrandMA and Jands both release their remote focus tools for free. What a shameless money grab.
I downloaded the app today to get a feel for how the app worked while focusing, little did I know that the app would not connect to the board unless I paid for it. I'm not about to pay $50 for an app that I'm not even sure works in my space.

I already paid for the iOS version, I know its charitable but I really don't want to pay for it twice. That complaint aside, the app is great. I use it on my Android to run the ION and GIO.
Just spent a day focusing lights with this thing. For an old designer who started out on resistor plates it is amazing. Had a few difficulties with the wi-fi but managed to solve them without having to find a junior high kid. Big thank you to the developers both for the software and the donation idea.
This tool is amazing. I am not the board op, but as the gaffer it's comforting to know that I can do the simple things if my board op is 10-1 or at crafty or setting up another stage.
You can set up the board, but you can't actually connect to it unless you buy the premium version of the app. It's labeled as a "Test Period", but it's actually impossible to test it if you can't connect to the board. No way am I going to pay $50 for an app if I can't try it first. This is a complete waste of space... don't bother downloading it unless you're planning on buying it immediately. ETC should be ashamed of themselves for misleading potential customers.
Please make it so the rfu connection doesn't time out at 5 minutes in the next update!

It'd be nice if the new scene breaks in cue lists were visible in the playback menus
