Clinical Genomics Mini Guide

This app provides a brief explanation of a few of the most frequently used terms used in clinical genomics, such as "FASTQ", "VCF", "gVCF" and "BED files". It is provided by Prof Edward Tobias to help students and to accompany: (a) his series of Clinical Genomics lectures at the University of Glasgow, UK, (b) his medical genetics textbooks (including "Essential Medical Genetics" and "Medical Genetics for the MRCOG and Beyond") and (c) his website (www.essentialmedgen.com).
The app was created by Edward and Adam Tobias, who have published its development process in the journal: Applied & Translational Genomics. That paper and the app have now been referenced in a 2016 paper by authors from Oxford and Kenya, entitled: "Enhancing emergency care in low-income countries using mobile technology-based training tools".
