GunShot Suppressor for Android
Needs to work with Bluetooth headset then it would be almost perfect if they could fix delay it would be perfect
Sounded like feedback loop, repeated low level noise cycle, didn't consistently play voices. Didn't try to shoot with it, but wasn't willing to keep it given what it was doing.

doesn't work with Bluetooth headset
Doesn't work with Galazy S6. Phone will not turn up headphone volume when app is activated, only turns up ringtone volume. No speech is transmitted through headphones. Great concept, fix it and I'll happily purchase.
No noise suppression unless I wear noise cancelling headphones. Duh. The nch suppress the sound. The dumb app does nothing at all!
Works great, but there is a half second delay from sound to hearing. Makes talking difficult, but not impossible. Gun shots are suppressed just like they should be. I used just my etymotic research er-6i ear buds (34-36db noise isolation)
It works well to stop gunshot noise using Sennheiser in-ear headset AND when used underneath my Peltor Optime 3. No shot noise gets through but there is some echo on my own voice which can be annoying. For hearing what's around me while keeping my ears safe it's good.
I made it. I love it!

As far as I can tell, all this does is take sound from the mic and send it to the headphones. If it did that well I'd probably be happy, but it doesn't. There is a huge lag of at least a full second so a conversation is out of the question. Worst of all there's an awful feedback loop that causes constant echos - not in the background, but in your face "whomp whomp whomp" sounds the whole time. I wanted to like it, I really did.
