Monster M7 Firmware Updater for Android
Installed the update twice. Both times it killed Google Play Store. What's up with that? Uninstalled for now, let me know when you've got an update that works correctly.
My tablet not show this icon why?
Claim of 16 gigs is bull, I can load 3 times as many apps on my phone and not run out of space as fast as this. Also ran into a warranty issue, well phone number is disconnected and wrote over 5 e-mails and still no answer. Wish I had the money to sue them for false advertising.
Still waiting for an update to fix the limited 1 gig internal memory. Some applications can not be moved out of internal memory so in no time your getting notifications to remove stuff. Also can't update my Google apps because it fills the internal memory and if you don't have at least 400mb of internal memory free it makes the tablet leg hard core.
I WAS THAT GIRL THAT WAS SENDING THIS TAB 2TIMES AND MY MOM SAID TO GIVE ME A NEW ONE LIK WHY IS MY PLOT COMING OUT WHEN I UNPLUG AND U GAVE ME THIS TAB WITH A BROKEN BUTTON REALLY GUYS WHYYYYYYYYY WILL U DO THAT.2nd ITS BOTHERING MEE
The main thing I really don't like about the M7 is the storage. It says it has 16GB of storage when it has 1GB of internal storage! I have hardly any apps! In my opinion the tablet is a waste of money don't buy it
This came with my monster tablet its true it works so well
I don't get an icon.
When I read about this tablet plus this update, it was my understanding that this app should take care of the SD card issue. The issue being whatever storage comes with the device, that's all the storage you get, it's still the case.
This tablet has serious problems and obviously no testing prior to it's release. The firmware fix has horrible and incomplete instructions. I set the tablet aside in frustration until I had time enough to struggle through the upgrade process. Got it installed eventually. Now it seems there's no version control in the upgrade firmware app. It keeps finding the initial update online. It wants to repeat install. I could go on...but obviously these people are real amateurs.
Use towel root v1 if you can find it' then go through walk through and that's it. Free as well. Update does give u and extra gig for internal and runs a bit smoother but still hangs if your going faster than it can. Can`t complain for a $16 tablet.
When I bought it I was amazed the the specs it has nice HD screen great speakers with Bluetooth and decent camera but it still its laggy even after the update don't have a lot of apps even disabled the built in apps I don't need does anyone has the same problem? Please fix this monster
I've been stuck on just getting apps to download straight to the internal storage like I have twelve gigs on that and less than one gig on the tablet
Firmware, this A+ period.
Monster
Nice tablet, little slow. And does seem to hang or lock up if typing to fast. Processor is slow but adequate for most users. Handles a 32 g mini sd card 11nd 1 gig memory and 16 g on device storage. Remove all the extra google bloatware they include and it even runs better. Having time zone problems but support is working with me. For the price it cant get beat. And more of a pc then a book reader like knook and kindles fire.
Monster's support team is MIA regarding the website being taken down. Good luck getting your product up to date and fixing any technical problems you may encounter. Rooting is almost impossible and frustrating to even think on. Maybe better stars when they enable root features and fix instability or make updates easily accessible.
This has got to be the biggest piece of junk I've ever owned! I don't think I've ever gotten an update to work like they say it should. The main thing I'm furious about is how they say it's 16GB yet it really only has 1GB of internal storage. The rest is on this "nand flash".. Whatever the hell that is. You can't even use it. This tablet also lags, freezes up, apps quit working all of a sudden, etc. Piece. Of. Crap!
This is my first tablet ever, I was looking for something in my budget range and this one was it. I updated the firmware with no problem, and I like how the tablet function to a point. My biggest "GRIPE" is that it suppose to have a 5MP rear camera, and it is only a 3MP. And yes, I did go into to try to change the resolution of it. Oh well, my Cellphone has a 5MP rear camera in it, and I never go anywhere without it. And if I really want to have great pictures, I will use my Canon Digital "Rebel" EOS instead anyway. On to the memory problems that other people are having. It's just not this tablet, it is "Google Android" itself. They load apps (programs) that people may not want and you can't delete or uninstall them, but you can disable them to free up memory and storage space. You can even move them to the nand storage area, which is your 16gb area. Granted you will not have all 16gb, the OS and other operating apps takes up part of it. You actually start out with about 12gb of it. The rear camera is why I am giving it 4 stars. But for the rest of of the tablet, I really love it.
Tablet is dumb its like someone else is on the other end typing cause its doing things on its own an I called monster company an they won't help me!!! An the store I bought it from went out of business so no returns! An monster wrote me saying it had to of been reburbished kinda funny how this store didn't have used things!!!! Ugh not happy right not paid $150.00 for table an head phones an can't even play on the tablet really maybe u guys should actually help your customers out instead of turning them away
Monster please fix the storage issue.. Other than that I like...
I updated my M7 with this update, and it performed a little bit faster.. That's about it. After going to the M7 website and looking under FAQ's, I found the real update. It combined the internal memory and the NAND flash memory into one!!! No more storage issues!!! I actually like this thing now! Lol Go to the website and look under FAQ's to get the real update. It is a must have for all M7 users!!!!
If you go to the official website and follow the instructions under FAQ section it will fix the internal storage issue. For the price it is great.
Freezes tablet, s,ow response times terrible a d no way to uninstall without loosing all my stuff
When i first got it it worked really good, but then i realized it has no storage what's so ever. It keeps freezing and the Updater does nothing or won't work. There are so many things wrong with it. Not worth your time, trust me. Everything about it sucks. Wish I could give it NO stars!!!
The main thing I really don't like about the M7 is the storage. It says it has 16GB of storage when it has 1GB of internal storage! I have hardly any apps! In my opinion the tablet is a waste of money don't buy it
These tablets suck. The charging port comes out when you unplug it on nearly all of them. It took 4 months to get mine back and its not even mine! The serial number on this tablet doesn't even match what the tablet info says it should be. CRAP !!!!!!!
I purchased my M71BK from Walmart because the specs looked impressive for the price. About the same time as I purchased the M7, I bought an iPad. No comparison. Recently, I've been using an 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Again, no comparison, especially because the Galaxy Tab (a clearance item) was the same price as the M7 and Samsung provides an update to Kit Kat. The latest firmware is at the mymonstertablet website under "FAQ." The instructions are confusing. Backup your M7. Download the firmware update file "update.img" to a folder on your browsing computer. Remove the microSD card from your M7, or buy one if necessary. Insert the microSD card into the slot on your browsing computer. You may require a microSD adapter to do this. Copy update.img to the the root of the microSD card. Remove the microSD card. Ensure that your M7 tablet is off and fully charged. Insert the microSD card into your M7 and turn it on. Android will recognize the presence of the firmware update and install it. After the firmware upgrade is complete, remove the microSD card and use your browsing computer to remove the update.img file from the microSD card. Reinsert the microSD card. Your M7 will initialize.
This is not the new update this is old. There is a new update that fixes the low memory issue limiting it to 1gb. It fixes it by giving you the full 16gb minus the stuff on you get 12gb of storage. Update link is Amazon something. Look it up on Google search or contact monster support ask for new update they will respond within 2 days most times.
It didn't really fix that much. Still a great budget tablet anyway.
I'll update it if it makes my tablet better.
If you go to the official website and follow the instructions under FAQ section it will fix the internal storage issue. For the price it is great.
Didn't fix my storage issues. Customer support is no help.
there is nothing positive to say about this crap ware which I paid $200 for....had it 30 days and it wont hold acharge...now sams club refuses to take it back.....buyer be warned!!!!!
Uninstall update, if installed. Re-install. Turn off tablet. Turn back on and unlock. At this point my update started. Make sure power cord is plugged in.
Have tried to up date this firmware a dozen times and the install tool never comes up. I have it on my SD card as well. Customer service was no help because I purchased it online from a discount website. They said they could not assist, they kept having me reset the tablet and trying the update again. Does anyone know anything that can update this?
Chris w. I uninstalled the firmware updater' then put my SD card in with the update on it, then it reset to factory specs and all my stuff worked.
It keeps bothering me about an update I've installed a billion times, and it doesn't even delete the update package after.
When you guys going to fix it where we can use the 16 GB that the tablet has?
