fix50 provides a workaround for the "50% Time without a signal" bug, by automatically turning airplane mode on and then off every time the device is rebooted.

Many Android users have reported a bug that causes the Battery Manager to report 50% "Time without a signal" under Cell Standby usage. I've heard conflicting reports as to whether this causes any actual problems, or if it's just a bug in the reporting system.

However, everyone seems to agree that turning on airplane mode and then turning it off again does resolve the problem.
