About Klingon Language Tutor
This app is designed to help you speak and spell Klingon. This is not a compendium of the language, but a tool to quickly review words, critique pronunciation and view YouTube videos of spoken Klingon
The app has three sections:
1) Audio Recording - Allows you to input English / Klingon word pairs, record an audio pronunciation, then review your linguistic skills by playing back the recording. If you are not pleased with the pronunciation, simply record the word or phrase again. Once satisfied, the word pairs and recording can be saved to a reference library. A text auto-complete feature provides over 1700 English / Klingon word pairs. The audio recording is left to you.
2) The Audio Library - A library of your audio recordings.
3) YouTube Favorites - It is often difficult to find examples of spoken Klingon. Fortunately there are hundreds of YouTube videos containing excerpts of Klingon conversation. This section of the app allows you to "assimilate" any YouTube video into your favorites collection so you can watch others speak the language. This section goes beyond offering you a simple play list. You can edit the video to only play the portion of the clip you are interested in studying. Once you save the marked clip, you can view only the marked section of the video.
If you need a reference guide, please find a copy of Marc Okrand's "The Klingon Dictionary", or the "Conversational Klingon Audio Book".
The free version of the app allows you to store 10 audio recordings and 10 YouTube videos. For a few credits you may upgrade the app to permit an unlimited number of audio recordings and an unlimited number of stored YouTube videos.
A must for any Star Trek fan.
Long live the Empire!

Being able to watch YouTube videos helped me pronounce words that I had no idea what they sounded like.
