أصبحت الحاجة ملحة لخدمة زوار مدينة المجمعة من خلال مركز المعلومات للمدينة والذي تقدمه جمعية البر بالمجمعة ضمن برامجها في الخدمة المجتمعية
بدأ العمل في مركز المعلومات لمدينة المجمعة بإصدار هذا التطبيق لأجهزة الاتصال الحديثة والذي سعينا من خلاله لأن يكون فريداً من نوعه ومثالاً يحتذى على مستوى المملكة العربية السعودية حيث تم البحث عن أدلة مراكز المعلومات على مستوى المملكة ودول الخليج للخروج بمنتج مميز من حيث التقسيم وشمولية وسهولة الاستخدام. بالإضافة إلى الصور المميزة لكل موقع وكذلك الربط بالخرائط بشكل مباشر مما يسهل الوصول إلى المكان المقصود
كما يتيح التطبيق والموقع إضافة التعليق والتقييم لكل مكان، للوصول إلى أعلى مستوى من دقة المعلومة واستفادة الزائر منها . مع إمكانية البحث بناء على تقييم الزوار.
