About Workout Goals
I created a Workout Goals branch on GitHub if anyone is interested in working on the code. https://github.com/erogge6/workoutgoalsa
Workout Goals is about utilizing your phone to stay active. Whether you are logging your workouts calories, distance, speed, location, and elevation gain/decline or trying lose a little weight, Workout Goals can help. Workouts can be mapped out through Google Maps, plus you also have the option to stop workouts and take pictures mapped to Google maps.
Workout goals starts off with a simple goal asking questions about your age, height, weight, and gender. From there you can add workout events recurring weekly with a specified number of calories to burn or distance to cover. Events can be synced up with your Google Calender with a few clicks. A notification will notify you every morning if there are workout events for that day.
Workouts can calculate calories burned from either a heart rate monitor through Bluetooth or by choosing your type of workout with associated METs. There is also a option to browse through previous workouts and view the workout information in a chart. Plus, if you are using mapped workouts you can export GPS tracks to KML or GPX file format, or share mapped workouts with other application users.
You can easily search shared mapped workouts through the mapped workout search feature just browse Google maps to a point of interest click the search icon, fill out the criteria and search. You can then choose a mapped workout, get directions to the start of the workout route, and keep the route in view while you are working out.
Workout Goals has a chart for your Workout Goal progress showing your projected, goal, and actual progress for number of calories burned. There is also a chart to display distance and calories burned since the Workout Goal start date. There is also a help menu that describes some of the equations, fields, features, and action buttons.
