I tried a few other apps before this, all, to NO avail, whether they were to complicated or just weren't professional, i simply must say, this app is perfect for amateur writers or professional, folder covers really were a nice touch. This app is helping me greatly in my story writing. Two questions though. 1. Why no spell check? 2. Can you add a feature to make a book cover with your own images on the notes itself, because many people are using this for books. Keep the folder covers and good work!
Every time I switch away from this app and back it has lost its place and taken me back to the start of the document. If someone can tell me how to fix that I'll change the rating to 5 stars. Thanks.
I had everything setup and it was working great. Then, for some reason when I tried to open my notes, it crashed. So, I did an uninstall, reinstall and restore. Well, the restore function only restored like two of my notes. Ugh....
i like this all but save pdf great then can't read pdf and need font list choose
I only hope it could support right-to-left languages, too. Why not get working?
I can't install this on my samsung S3 tablet. Every time I attempt to install it, google play crashes. It installed on my samsung s5 phone without any problems. The free version installs just fine on my tablet. I'm disappointed because I puchased the app for my tablet, not for my phone. I don't know whether you or Google is to blame, but I expect better when I hand over money for an app.
good app, I dont lose my files and great for uni note taking. runs well on inexpensive tablet and at a resonable price
Cool features like being able to put content of each chapter in a page and move pages around in thumbnail view when in edit mode. You can easily find out word count of one page/chapter, and at same time, wordcount of all pages/chapters, for total wordcount. I like having no spellcheck. Hate android spellcheck always "fixing" things i.e. getting it wrong. Awesome app!
I love this app.I just wish you would make a cursive font for it.I bought the Pro so I could change my fonts but still cant
Only if the fricken spell-check checked! It does nothing! Are any of you having the same problem? Or what must I do, I haven't done.
Make the spellcheck work and create more options for text editing like the ability to underline text. Other than that it is a good for note taking
No auto correction like the very basic apps on my phone. Nothing to satisfy me of the money I spent
I hesitated to buy this writing ap because of the limited spell checking It would really be nice to see advanced spell check options added
It would be nice if it were possible to reorder pages in thumbnail view by press/hold-drag/drop where you want to, in a similar way you move around Widgets on home screen. I like having no spellcheck. Hate android spellcheck always "fixing" things i.e. getting it wrong. Awesome app
I used a Apple iPod Touch for three years and then an iPad. They were nice but as we all learn Apple is a closed culture. An then I bought a Xoom and installed xwriter. Marvelous and very stable. Reminds me of "Write" or "WrireRoom" This software is stable, does not crash and looks great. The interface takes a couple of days to figure out but that's to be expected. Uploading to DropBox is a plus. Fonts and page colors are superior to most such programs. With office pro and Documents to go, you have a generic white page and that's it. xWriter allows your personality to come through. The folder setup is simple and easy to operate. Overall xWriter is the better choice for Android, strong, safe, effective and easy to operate.

I just purchased your word product I had written a long document in the free version before realizing you have to purchase a version to save it as PDF or text ....now I have a document in the free version and I have paid for the application... but I can't figure out how to get the first document created into the new version so that I can save it as text to PDF ...please help I've spent literally hours on this project!!!
Let's be realistic, for a tablet you're not looking for a full word processor. I wouldn't use this to write a resume, but it's great for short speeches and school presentations. All the other apps made me feel like Goldie locks , this one's too heavy or this one's too light. The only thing I would add is the ability to underline or italicize.
Once save a file as PDF You cant re-open & edit via Xwriter. Can only be opened by Adobe. This sux. Must find another app to do what i require. Waste of money
The only reason i PAID for this app is i thought it had a paste option to paste text from your phones clipboard to the document, no such luck. Withoit that feature to me the app is worthless.
This just works. No fancy interface no weird multimedia capabilities. Just plain writing. I don't anything in the market right now compares this app. It's a must have for anyone who wants to write on their Android device.
Did the same as Linda Muldoon, wrote a lot on Free version. Purchased full version then copied and pasted text from Free one into a new document in full version. Could do with some better indications of how to navigate. Still trying to work out how to insert page breaks - any ideas?
At first I thought it didn't support my keyboard's predictions, but I found the setting for that so now all is well. No problems pasting things from other sources as there's an icon above the page for that. Looking forward to updates (crosses fingers for rich text and more folder and page colors).
This is the best word processing app I have EVER used on an Android device, and I have tried them all. Please add the ability to move the app to the SD card. 5 stars all the way.
A very simple and easy app to use. The best word processing app on the market.
Does mud look cheap? It writes and that is its job. It is simple and I like it. Closest thing to pencil on paper I have seen. Trying out kingsoft office next.
Enough said.
Just what I was looking for. Uncomplicated, not stuffed with useless gadgets or options. Clean, simple word processing.
I have a brand new Nexus 7 using Android 4.4.2, and this app crashes every time I attempt to connect to "Box". It appears this has been an unresolved bug for a while now. If you fix this, I'll change my rating from 1 to 5. If you don't fix this, I'd like a refund.
Will give 5 stars when the issue is fixed whereby in landscape view, the keyboard blocks sight of what I am typing. Samsung Galaxy S4 w/ SwiftKey. EDIT: 1 star because of how many times I've mysteriously lost huge chunks of freshly written entries. I'm going to migrate everything I had on this app to something more reliable.
I use this app on a daily basis. It seems to be the best app I've found for writing my more than 600 page book, so fare. A lot of apps seem to be more occupied with making sure there app can work well with all the other apps that might be useful instead of making their app as good as IT could be. I don't see that in this app, they seem to care more about how well there app works first. But as an Arthur there is certain things I need in an app, to keep the app from holding back the Arthur. Maybe they need to add a book format to their choice of documents. It could have chapters via a drop down with four dots representing chapters in between arrows on each side to move between the chapters. It also needs the ability of different sized characters on the same page. And a in app thesaurus and dictionary, a tab at the top for notes, also a spell check for those of us who don't have it built into their tablet. Being able to add a picture at the top of the page. But for now if they could slow down the back button. It jumps to hyper speed when held down longer than three seconds. I will continue to use this app even if they don't add them. I really need them so I hope they do.Thanks progr.
Only if the fricken spell-check checked! It does nothing! Are any of you having the same problem? Or what must I do, I haven't done.
I only hope it could support right-to-left languages, too.
Easy to navigate to take a note and retrieve the info later.
Perfect for tracking my budget, shopping list, music lyrics, copying whole articles from the internet; pretty much everything!
Its okay but wheres the SPELLCHECK? And it would be great if you could give us a choice of password-protecting the WHOLE enterance of the app, not just one note.
If this app had the ability to choose different fonts and font styles I.e. bold/italics/underline etc. I would gladly pay $5 or more. Great little app.
Rate 10 if the background can be changed to black. Of course the font must be white

Not a fan of the new UI, it looks cheap and kinda messy so I wish there was an option to view it the old way. Aside from that its a great app.
