Open Launcher for Google TV

it's 2016 -- almost 17 and i'm still using my logitech revue -- sort of ... this app makes it so much better. I can have everything on my homescreen and not just a few shortcuts to some apps with the default screen.

This should be the default launcher. don`t delay, install today!

This great App allows to use everyone of my 14 android devices to their ultimate potential in an efficient and precise way. Much faster than the home app that comes with regular but arcaic android marshmellow or nougat.

havent played around w the app too much. i like it so far. clean look and better than stock vizio launcher.

stock on my outdated Sony GTV. Makes me not hate it so much.

widgets, color customizations for the default icons, etc. looks like its abandonware though, unfortunately.

Much prefer this launcher over the garbage my TV came with. Just needs a decent refresh. Looks like it hasn't been touched in 2 years according to the github repository.

Open Launcher is a great alternative. The launcher responds quickly and I have not experienced any freezing or force stops. It still looks a lot like the stock launcher but it makes it much easier to organize your apps. The settings can seem quite complicated in the beginning and the look is forgettable but it certainly worth getting for its responsivness.

A launcher that knows its place on the TV. It sits in a space at the bottom of the screen, allowing the running app or video feed to show on the rest.

my only problem is how to delete bookmarks.

Love it. I hope in the future it will be possible to 'theme' it, as in different colors, icons, ...

I installed this app in hopes of removing other problems. While not all were eliminated, my GTV is performing better now. I like the layout. The only thing I dislike is that I can't use the mouse to choose between apps & bookmarks (& other items). Once I am at the desired section, I can use the mouse.

First off, I love this launcher. I installed it on my 24" Sony Google TV at the office, and installed it on my three Vizio Co-Stars at home as well. It has so many options like adding Spotlight webpages and many ways to organize the apps. The weather info is nice as well. There are three things I would like to see in future updates tho. First: I'd also like to see an option to have the "home" bar show up on the side like the original Co-Star "home" bar. And second: the option to put widgets on the "home" screen would just be the icing on the cake. And third: make this app work with the new UGOOS UT3 Android TV device which has HDMI in like GoogleTV. Just bought one and I'd love to use this app on it. Thanks for making an amazing launcher app, and I look forward to future updates.

1. definately needs widgets 2. maybe some scrolling effects when changing rows transitions. but thats just a suggestion. the only thing holdimg it back is the wigets. i still have installed but not using. waiting for the widgets hopefully. thanks

Only one suggestion, sync settings across multiple Google TVs. You guys rock!

it gives you a refreshing new look. It gives you a bit more flexibility with menus, and features. i like it,is what i use know. would like to see more features though, but GTV is limited.

Open Launcher is a huge improvement over the Revue default launcher. Faster navigation, easier native and web app access, and a must have for Google TV.

The configuration was slightly confusing at first, but that may have more to do with the LG remote I was using than the app itself. The LG home screen would generally lag and cause any active media to freeze for a moment. This is a much smoother and cleaner interface than the stock LG option. Thank you for providing an alternative!

using it as my launcher on my sony nsz-gs7. better than the original. missing widgets, but not a big deal

I use this on my Vizio Co Star. Very easy to use and looks great. the only issue I have is I cant turn my co star off I have to unplug it.

I've tried other launchers that would work on my Revue, but none of them seemed like they were written with Google TV in mind. This is the first one that I can actually replace the stock launcher with. Thanks so much!

I like the weather, clock, the video signal not being faded out, and the navigation style at the bottom!

To whoever coded this app thank you , you made my long in the tooth Logitech Revue ...refreshed again , it also made getting thru my apps my easier and user friendly....thank you for taking the time to write this app...and then give it away for free.

I didn't think I needed a launcher for my Google TV, but I like to try new things out once in a while. I installed Open Launcher but didn't make it the default, figuring I'd just be uninstalling it soon anyway. Three days later, I changed my mind and made it the default. One of my favorite features is the fact that when I'm choosing an app to run, the show I'm watching is still running and visible. Very wll done app.
