Die Funktion und die Programmierung ist super. Aber es ist blöd immer so eine App auf dem Handy haben zu müssen. Zumal nicht alle Handys funktionieren (z. B. Custom roms) Mit Passwort war das viel einfacher. Wenn es diese App wenigstens für Windows PC geben würde...

I have no idea if my S6 is rooted or not or what that actually means. What I know is that I need to purchase a flight ticket for tomorrow and this silly app does not work. It seems tomorrow I will walk into a travel agency the first time in years and afterwards open a new bank account at a bank with an operational security system. I join an earlier writer: DKB messed up big time.

This is ridiculous. The pushTAN app is bad enough, now I can't even use my Visa card with a proper password anymore? Sure, the numerical PIN that is used for this app must be so much more secure... Glad that I have a Mastercard from N26 for my online purchases from now on.

hard to point it on the QR code. app instantly tries to recognize everything and hides the code behind the message. can't use it with cyanogenmode fw. there is no official fw updates for my phone anymore. and I have no idea, why there is no button "yes, i'm sure, i want to use this device". now i have to pay for SMS for paying with MY money. hate it.

The app complained on my new, factory configured and not rooted S7 Edge about presence of root/jailbreak and refused to work. Customer service unable to help. Managed to get it to work in the end following these steps: 1. root my phone; 2. install Xposed framework; 3. Install RootCloak; 4. Add RootCloak module to Xposed and activate RootCloak in Xposed; 5. Reboot; 6. Install DKB-Card-Secure app; 7. Add DKB-Card-Secure app to RootCloak; 8. Start DKB-Card-Secure app and add credit card.

Doesnt work on my phone, claims its rooted though it isn't. Customer support responded to my first mail with questions but never got back to me after answering them... Since I don't have a German phone number when abroad this means I can no longer use the online functions my card...

I had to book an important flight and all of sudden I cannot use my old password anymore. This app does not work (says I'm rooted, I'm not) and there is no alternative. I am going to close my account and suggest other people to do the same.

Der Mist geht nicht mit root. WTF?! Das geht die Bank einen Scheißdreck an, was ich mit meinem Telefon mache. Soll ich mir etwa ein zweites Handy nur für DKB besorgen? Naja, dann halt root cloak mit xposed. Das ist dann halt ein noch viel größeres Sicherheitsrisiko! Idioten! Vollpfosten!

I'm usually a big fan of DKB, but this whole Visa security thing is ridiculous. I was perfectly happy with the previous verified by visa where you had to enter a password to verify your payment. That you can't use this app with a rooted phone is just ridiculous. I would say that many times users that have not rooted their phones are more likely to have viruses or malware on their device.

Same here, the app recognizes the standard software of the Motorola G 2 as rooted. In general they should leave you the option to still run it at own risk, only leaving a warning. Now I am not able anymore to make transactions because DKB forces you to use the app. Support does not respond as usual, I guess I will switch my bank now because all I have now is a useless piece of plastic. In general the support of Deutsche Kreditbank Berlin is the most useless and horrible support I ever experienced.

Doesn't work on rooted phones. Very annoying, now I have to unroot my phone whenever I have to use my credit card with 3d secure, since DKB seems to require this app now.... ugh. I guess I'll have to switch to Paypal or other options without such idiotic requirements instead from now on.

Does not work. The App says my phone was rooted but it isn't. Root Checker and Titanium Backup both confirm it's not rooted. Phone: OnePlus3 Android 6 and Android 7 both do not work Can't use my Credit Card anymore. Phone support told me to use mTAN but this is not free.

Why do we have to use a proprietary app to access the verified by visa service? Free-OTP or google authenticator would have worked just fine for the purpose of 2-step-verification. Root users have to jump trough hoops to get it running as well. It's the worst kind of patronization in my opinion.

This is the worst system ever, I needed to make an urgent payment and now I can't because of this unbelievable stupid app. I have never had so much difficulties with any other bank system to make a simple credit card payment

I'm also one of the people who needed to book an important flight(to my wedding!!!) Because of dkb and their bullshit new system I missed it. I'm really pissed about this, thanks dkb for nothing.

It is bad enough that they force to use you their own app instead of sending a simple SMS or a standard like Google authenticator. And then the geniuses makes an app that doesn't work with custom roms. So now I can't use my credit card at all anymore. Well looks like after 3 years I'm switching to ING.

Also not working on my phone - does this mean I will need to change bank now for being able to use my credit card online? Why did you change the secure payments where only a password is needed, into this as only option? Change it back asap please! I am usually extremely happy with DKB, but this is just ridiculous. :-(

So... not being able to use the old process anymore, I grudgingly installed this app. Guess what! It does not recognise the QR code and also rejected the manual entry of the code. Now I have a Credit card that cant use the old system, nor the new system. After the reply from DKB, to be fair, I should add this. A day later, I tried the process from scratch again. It worked the next time around. I still had screenshots of the first qr code and number. I was not keen to start the process fresh as it could have made things worse. I still find the app less than user friendly up front, but I am willing to go from 1 to 2 stars for now.

This is getting ridiculous, how many apps do I actually need to make a stupid purchase with my credit card. Also the apps don't even work properly. You're losing the game here dkb

It's a shame that DKB is blocking rooted phones. Most people who have root, know why and are fine with the risk. Therefore a warning for the rest is enough. Don't patronize people. And don't reply to this rating with a standard copy-paste message.

Says device is rooted, and refuses to work. But it is not rooted (even tried un-root apps just in case). Fix it DKB, you are making fun of your customers.

I've started to use this app as form of verification recently and I haven't had any problems. It works smoothly and responds efficiently. Definitely favor this new one over the old method.

Great, works super fast. Whenever you try to make a transaction with your credit card you just open the application, confirm the payment with your password and that's it. Fast, safe, no complications. Unbelievable that some people complain about the fact that it doesn't work on rooted phones - DKB probably has reasons for that decision.

Dir größte Enttauschung von einer Bank. Keine Anweisung wie man sich registrieren sollte. Technische Abteilung sollte sofort gefeuert werden! Sie nennen sich Online Bank, was für ein Witz. This is the worst app. It is not working at all, whether I have internet connection or not. I tried to pay with my credit card online and used the one-time password generator. I provided the number and then it blocked my card. Afterwards you have to call their phone support which takes ages to get to customer support. I had the chance to call customer support. Information flow from DKB is really bad and the technical department has to be fired on the spot. They could not solve an automatic update. I have to uninstall the old app and reinstall the new. They cannot even solve this problem and they call themselves online bank!

You can switch to mobile TAN to at least be able to use your VISA card. However, RSA and Google Authenticator work with rooted devices. Another evidence that DKB unfortunately does not love mobile users

Die Kunden bewerten die Anwendung mit 1,4 Sternen, weil die Jailbreak-Erkennung nicht geht bzw false positives meldet, aber dkb ist so etwas offenbar egal. Kein Bock? Oder pure Inkompetenz?

Like many others I couldn't buy an international flight because of my phone recognised as rooted. The message of DKB - confirmed by the standard copy & paste all over the comments - is clear : "for the clients with this problem, please give up online transactions, or go to another bank". I will choose the second option

Not working on a rooted phone so I'm forced to use mTan instead, which costs 7cents per SMS. Clearly a profit making move by DKB because bulk SMS services are readily available for under 3cents per SMS. Not a happy bunny!

Apart from the fact that this app's purpose and the intention behind its creation are unquestionably stupid, it's lacking almost all functions that could make it acceptable. I can't even see which cards are linked to this. I also had to book an important flight, which I obviously had to wait an additional two days for because of this system..

Kann nicht online zahlen und auch nicht auf dem neuen Handy (Lenovo Vibe 4k Note in Asien gekauft) registrieren! Gott sei Dank die AMEX noch dabei gehabt. Das ist Müll - schade für eigentlich gute online Bank

Wirklich schrott. Lästiges Installieren mit XPosed Framework und RootCloak, kostenpflichtige Alternative nur mit deutschen Rufnummern anwendbar. So doch nicht, lieber DKB. Mich wundert vor allem, dass hier soviel Wert auf Sicherheit gelegt wird, während das Onlinebankingsystem nur maximal fünf (5) Zeichen zulässt für das Passwort. Nicht mal Sonderzeichen sind erlaubt.

Great, I'm not allowed to make payments because my phone is rooted? Give me a break. It's my own choice, I understand the risks, and forcing me to use an app is ridiculous in the first place. What was wrong with for example getting a SMS with a TAN? It worked, it was pretty safe (safe enough! This app isn't safer than that, at best it is more convenient), and it works without a smartphone! Any tips on bank accounts that do not require this nonsense/work with a rooted phone? I'd rather switch banks than un-root. Btw., if you DID NOT root your phone, and aren't using a custom ROM, two things that are rather complicated to do, and you still run into the error message, you might want to check your phone/get it checked. Chances are your phone was tampered with or is running malware that spies on you. There IS a reason why you get the message, the checks if your device is deemed safe are done by Google. DKB just chose to make use of that information.

Die Kreditkarte verliert damit komplett ihren Nutzen als online Bezahlungsmittel. Für mich somit wertlos. Diese Einschränkungen sind nicht akzeptabel und wohl kaum im Sinne des Nutzers. Wird Zeit zu einer anderen Bank zu wechseln. Schade. [update] Konto wurde gekuendigt

Does not work on rooted phone / phone with custom ROM. Shame they force you to use this or make you pay for text-based TANs. Actually one should leave DKB for this garbage.

The system is complicated to setup and completely buggy. Now I have to call support to unlock my card since they changed my old password before I was able to get the thing to work (because their form said I should scan the QR code first, while the app reported it couldn't use that code, and then my password didn't work anymore). And then they charge 7 cents for each SMS if I want to use mTan?

Dann wird es wohl langsam Zeit für eine alternative Kreditkarte... Schade, war bisher sehr zufrieden mit der DKB

Super, jetzt kann ich nicht mehr mit der Kreditkarte bezahlen ohne mein Handy unsicher ( sprich nicht gerooted) zu haben, was fürn scheißdreck! Bankwechsel,ich komme. Zinsen bekommen ich eh nirgends,von daher kann ich einfach dahin wechseln wo der Kunde nicht für Affen gehalten wird

Warum das Argument mit mangelnder Sicherheit auf gerooteten Geräten falsch ist wurde ja schon zur Genüge diskutiert in den reviews. Bitte sofort ändern!

Considering they are forcing you to use it, it's quite bad that half way through registration you(I) only get error messages. time to change bank. I don't want to use my mobile for banking.
