About Drake Calculator
Drake Calculator is a small experiment to estimate the number of detectable extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy. In 1960, Frank Drake conducted the first search for radio signals from extraterrestrial civilizations at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia. Soon thereafter, the National Academy of Sciences asked Drake to convene a meeting on detecting extraterrestrial intelligence. The equation was proposed there. For more information, check the Wikipedia website (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation).
The Android application gives you the chance to calculate the result by altering the proposed parameters by yourself. As some scientifical background, you can see the explanation of each parameter proposed for the model.

This app is lacklustre. Whilst it is an effective tool for the purpose, it's interface is unremarkable and it does nothing that an ordinary calculator can't do. To improve it, you could add some kind of interface enhancements - sliders of some sort come to mind.
