This new version of the app is a breath of fresh air. It looks good, it's easy to use, it's quick, it let's me drill down infinitely in to related artists. Sure there are still a few bugs but once they are ironed out this will be a 5 star app. And to think I'd almost given up on emusic!

A big improvement over the previous version which I just had to uninstall. This is nice and smooth with good navigation and search functions. Only problem I've had so far is an 'unexpected playback error' a few times.

Crashes every time I try to sign in, but is fine on my phone. Worked fine everywhere before. I have many problems with my purchased albums and new downloads. I have emailed support over a week a go and am still waiting. The content problems have been resolved. But! The reply I got from the developer of the app did not address the fact that I can't use it. Every time I attempt to sign in on a tablet that the old app worked great, the new app crashes.

Perfect. Finally an music app that allows downloading and streaming. Great work folks

Finally updated and now a usable app. I can at last now buy and download music using the eMusic android app without it locking up repeatedly. Came just in time to stop me leaving

Finally eMusic is renewed, cloud based, now it's worth it for all past members to come back. Looks beautiful, fast, intuitive and it works!

The third iteration of the app and it's hugely improved. Have used for a couple of days now and no crashes. The UI is responsive, fast and looks crisp. Same goes for the web site. The cloud storage and streaming functionality is much improved too. I've been subscribed to eMusic for 10 years and IMO the new app just proves that it is still the best place to discover, buy and now stream great, reasonably priced independent music.

New update ruined the experience, I have to upload all my content again to use it...I already spent hours downloading my music and I PAID for it, now I can't access it, I can't even upload it atm because the app randomly stops working when I try

Why would you do a whole new platform for this App. That does not allow access to your music albums. It kind of defeat the whole purpose of this App. Don't you think? Especially when I paid for these songs. So as soon as I get access to my play list. I will down load them to my hard drive. Seeing how you think getting your new platform up and running. Is more important then giving me access to my album's or music files. You should of work this out before you up loaded your Updated App. This was not a smart thing to do here in my opinion. And seeing how you just failed to do what your by lines claimed you can do here! Giving me access to my music on any device I choose or have. Which I can access your app. But not the most important part of this App. My Music I paid for here. And staying sorry. We're still trying to up load your music files / play list to our new platform. Is not acceptable here. You should of fix this issue before you interface your new platform. Very dumb on your part here if you ask me. Because I feel I can not longer trust your app to do what is so Hartley claims here. And that's giving me access to music files on your server any time day or night. Unfortunately you failed to do that here. So my real point here is why should I still rely on this app for my music needs if your going to do this kind of stuff? So please down load my music files / Albums here so I can actually save them to my own devices. So that way I don't have to worry about not being able to play my music that I already purchased.

My music is not showing up with the new app.

Z70%
by Z####:

Uninstalled because app was acting up on my phone. After I reinstalled it I couldn't play the music I previously purchased even though I downloaded the music onto my phone. This app is every bit as bad as their website. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to access music I paid for. This is probably why they try to lure people in with free downloads because their service is horrible. I never have issues with my Amazon player.

Horrible app! I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times and I still receive error message that app can't connect to emusic server. Now you've taken my monthly payment but it doesn't show up on the app so I'm unable to download. I will be canceling my account if this is not corrected.

Z70%
by Z####:

Stops playback mid album, replays the same song for no apparent reason, doesn't allow for downloads that you can play offline in other apps because of file naming and they disappear from phone after a few days anyway and they don't facilitate offline playback in the app. This app is terrible.

Battery drainer I think this app was constantly trying to sync with my phone even when closed.. Ate up a lot of battery so uninstalled

I70%
by I####:

Wait, so the new version of the app is 78MB in size? The previous version at 45MB wasn't big enough? Amazon Music is under 40MB, Power Amp is under 14MB. Time to cancel my subscription?

Z70%
by Z####:

App crashes continually, no way to add my purchased songs to other music I've purchased from other programs. I can't even listen to the music I've purchased.

I don't know why this has bad reviews, it is amazing!! It stores all of my music and is great quality. No problems whatsoever.

Good music choices & easy to navigate, but expensive to buy.

Z70%

Was suppose to get forty free downloads because of a hat I bought but it won't even let me sign in

Z70%
by Z####:

Does not give me the songs I want

Z70%
by Z####:

It's ok I just think it should be able to find by artist as well, not just look up the song, when I tried to look up a specific song it didn't exactly get what I wanted, if this was fixed I'd instantly rate 5

Still terrible, this is a very poor app

Edit: My initial post read, "Blackberry PRIV running latest Android. Installs, won't open." After eMusic reached out to me, I tried again. To my surprise, it all worked--downloaded, opened, and I was able to sign in. I don't tend to download music from eMusic directly to my phone--I prefer to store on a larger hard drive and transfer--so I did not try buying music. But, I could access what I have purchased and stream it pretty well. Not as fancy a music player as my Poweramp, but serviceable. Overall, not bad. I wish the back button would take me back to where I left off, rather than the top of the list of artists or albums, but otherwise, it seems to be working fine. Sorry about the earlier rating. I've updated to 4/5 stars. (fix the back button for 5/5).

I've been with eMusic for years, but have had several recent frustrations in downloading tracks/albums. Currently using a Moto G3 with most up to date eMusic app, but am unable to download purchased tracks, nor do they show up in my cloud account.

Z70%

If the app won't let me easily do what I can do on the desktop, what's the point? This has been the worst app on my phone for years, and it looks like emusic is never going to change it.
