MAGISCHE ORTE IN OSNABRÜCK ENTDECKEN UND VIRTUELL ERLEBEN!

Das neue Ausstellungsprojekt der Stadt- und Kreisarchäologie macht’s möglich. Nun lassen sich neun magische Orte in Stadt und Landkreis Osnabrück per App erkunden.

Das Osnabrücker Land ist reich an archäologischen Fundstellen und hat historisch viel zu bieten.
Von der Steinzeit bis heute haben Menschen die Landschaft gestaltet und geprägt. Ihre Spuren und Hinterlassenschaften geben oft noch Jahrtausende nach der Entstehung entscheidende Hinweise auf vergangene Lebenswelten. Erstaunlich was Landschaft so alles erzählen kann, erkundet man besondere Orte und erfahrt ihre Geschichten. Als Lebensgrundlage und „Archiv der Menschheitsgeschichte“ ist Landschaft daher schützens- und bewahrenswert.


AUF SPURENSUCHE IN DER LANDSCHAFT

Die Spuren vergangener Landschaftsgestaltung finden wir bis heute. Überreste wie jungsteinzeitliche Großsteingräber, Hügelgräberfelder der Bronze- und Eisenzeit oder mittelalterliche Burgen und Kirchen sind noch immer landschaftsprägende Elemente. Oft ist das Wissen über diese Relikte längst vergangener Zeiten verloren gegangen. Die vielfältigen Spuren menschlicher Einflüsse sind aber noch in der Landschaft gespeichert.


40 JAHRE STADT- UND KREISARCHÄOLOGIE

Anlässlich des Jubiläums entstand die Ausstellung Magische Orte Entdecken, bei der die Landschaft zum Ausstellungsraum wird. Das Projekt wird von der DBU, der Sparkasse Osnabrück und mit Mitteln von Stadt- und Landkreis Osnabrück und der Firma Matthäi gefördert. Neben der App zu den magischen Orten gibt es ein umfangreiches Veranstaltungsprogramm in Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Partnern aus Stadt und Landkreis.

The new exhibition project of the city and county archeology makes it possible. Now nine magical places in the city and district of Osnabrück can explore per app.

The Osnabrück region is rich in archaeological sites and has historically much to offer.
From the Stone Age until today, people have designed and shaped the landscape. Their traces and legacies often give even millennia after the emergence vital clues to past ways of life. Amazing what landscape everything can so tell you explore special places and learn their stories. As livelihoods and "archive of human history" is therefore of protection and landscape worth preserving.


Looking for clues IN COUNTRYSIDE

The traces of past landscaping we see today. Remains as Neolithic megalithic tombs, tumuli fields of Bronze and Iron Age or medieval castles and churches are still landscape-shaping elements. Often times gone by the knowledge about these relics have been lost long ago. However, the diverse traces of human influences are still stored in the landscape.


40 YEARS city and county ARCHAEOLOGY

To mark the anniversary, the exhibition Discover Magical places where the landscape is an exhibition space created. The project is funded by the DBU, the Sparkasse Osnabrück and with funds from the city and district of Osnabrück and the company of Matthew. Apart from the app to the magical places there is an extensive program of events in collaboration with various partners from the city and county.
