- 소개

1960년대 서울 변두리, 초등학생 기영이와 까까머리 중학생 기철이에게 오늘은 무슨 일이 생길까요?


어느 날 기영이는 할아버지가 할머니에게 금비녀를 사주기 위해 고이고이 모아둔 저금통을 보게된다.

순간적인 충동에 돈을 빼내어 만화방으로 달려간 기영이는 하루종일 만화책만 보다가 집에 돌아온다.


매일매일 저금통에서 돈을 꺼내어 만화방을 다니며 군것질을 하던 기영이는, 어느 날 길가에서 배고파하는 거지를 보고 자신이 먹으려고 산 붕어빵을 거지에게 주게 된다.

이를 우연히 본 교장선생님은 기영이를 그저 착한 일을 하는 어린이로 오해하여 착한 어린이상을 주게 된다.

얼떨결에 학교에서 상을 받게 된 기영이는 몹시 괴로워하며 다시는 할아버지의 돈을 훔치지 않기로 결심하게 되는데...
