I have never bought an app before, period. That is until I saw Pat talking about this in his video. I had to get it! And I'm really glad I did. Literally any NES game I find I can have instant feedback on the quality of the game from an expert. Lots of insight and well-written reviews. It is also a nice feature that you can submit how many copies of the games and their packaging items you have in your personal collection. It would be nice to have an inventory screen to show your whole collection, but I also think this will be a growing app over time and there may be more functions in the future. Also, the crashes a couple people said they had I never experience using the app. Overall, this is a fantastic app! An absolute must-have for any Nintendo collector. I now don't have to speculate and gamble on NES games I've never played. Thank you very much!

I got this primarily for the reviews, but they are presented in a tiny font as giant walls of text with no paragraphs to break them up. They are very difficult to read. A slightly larger font size and breaking them up into paragraphs would be a very welcome improvement.

The app is a great way to keep track of your games, read reviews, and find games you want online. My biggest criticism would be the constant crashes and I think an overall collection page would be nice to let you know how many games you have in your collection. Overall though it's a great app!

N70%
by N####:

Great information in this app. The scroll bar on the right side is frustrating as I oftentimes accidently scroll down when I just want to choose something on the right side of the screen. Also, PAL exclusive games are not stated as being as such, and I could not find a way to filter them out. All in all, though, this is a great app. Good job, Pat. After using this app for a while on an LG G5, I have noticed that the app crashes after a few minutes of use.

Good app based on the book by Pat the Nes Punk (Pat Conti). Excellent resource. However the search functionality is completely broken. I can' search by my reviews, or what I owned. Disappointing. If that's fixed, it's a must by for a NES fan or a collector, and even with it broken, I'd recommend it.

ITS OK BUT IT SHOULD HAVE A CHECK MARK FOR GAMES OWNED INSTEAD OF CLICKING ON A SEPARATE TAB CALLED MY COLLECTION...ALSO SHOULD HAVE AN ESTIMATED OVERALL VALUE OF YOUR COLLECTION ADDING UP EVERYTIME U ADD A GAME TO IT.

Great app except for 2 things. When using my phone's back button from inside any particular game to go back to the main library screen it frequently crashes or the colors get all messed up, however, by using the back button near the top it works and goes back fine. The other thing is that it would be awesome is if it worked on my larger tablet sadly it does not. Ahhh well. Hopefully at least the crashing issue can be fixed sometime otherwise it's a great program.

This app is amazing! It is the most comprehensive source of information and tools about the NES on the market by far. It has a collecting and rating feature, so I can keep track of the games I own and then rate them(along side the apps ratings). There is information/reviews for every NTSC (North American) game that was released for the system and more. This is a companion app to Pat Contri's (Pat the NES Punk) Ultimate Nintendo Guide to the NES Library 1985-1995. This app is kinda like a little search engine for the book. Its Extremely convenient for when you're out buying games that you need to look up to see what games you have or not or to look up information about the game, to see if you want to purchase it or not. The reviews are well written and truly give you a incite on what to exspect from each game. Overall: There are a few extreamly mild interface things that plan on being tweaked in the future, that are mentioned in other comments, and already have quick responses from the programing team at Embraceware. This is the 5 star standard for all other retro game collecting/information apps to look up to. The bar has been set. This is the app you have always wanted.

I am getting app crashes like crazy juat purchased it today. Love the app, but the crashes suck man. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Stock OS.

Z70%
by Z####:

Would love if there was an easier way to track which games I own. Having so many clicks just to set one game as owned doesn't feel great. Possibly a mass edit mode where I can just click a check box to select the games from the full list and then mass update. Apart from this a great app. Love the box and this is a great companion.

Bought because it seems impossible to get the physical book in the UK, but the app crashes and closes itself too often to be able to spend much time browsing the reviews. I can't even scroll down the games without the app crashing and closing, so it's impossible to for me to see any game that comes after "I". Very disappointing.

O70%
by O####:

So far seems awesome, had a few force closes so far. I hope to see a new search field that allows me to type the games name. Other than that the app is great

Awesome and informative app about many nes games. As someone who frequently plays the NES, this is of great use. Pat Contri has a lot of passion for this, and it shows. Buy the book as well!

Greatest Nintendo game app ever

This app is a companion to the Ultimate Nes Guide written by Pat Contri and friends. App includes short reviews, star ratings, and a convenient way to track what you have on the go. App also has tips/codes for games, which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. If you're into NES stuff at all, $5 is really a steal for what you get out of this app.

Awesome App, tons of fun, info and pics. Looks like a lot of time spent. I don't have the book, but was more than happy to spend the bit of money to get this app. I really appreciate the search functions and "my collection" button.

N70%
by N####:

I really like the app. There are a few bugs, such as the collection data not saving/updating right when using the physical back button to navigate. Works correctly with on screen back button. Also several crashes, but my data was still saved.

N70%
by N####:

The info is as great in the app as it is in the book. This version of the app could use some work ie: no option to close app, constant crash loops once the 5th to 10th game is opened. But it is still early in its life so I'm sure these things will be improved

N70%
by N####:

Awesome app. It's an excellent companion for the book. Love the look and the features. I like that it lets you select which label/cart variation you own when adding it to your collection. Although, I wish it would display the variation you had when viewing your collection. A nice addition would also be a collection statistics feature. Something that could let you view the stats of your collection by genre, developer, value, rarity, ECT. Still, the app is excellent, and worth every penny.

O70%
by O####:

The best NES collecting app there is by far. The book is great too. I only wish there was a way to display current value of your collection and wanted lists. Overall a fantastic app for retro gamers. Wish there was something like this for Genesis!

Great app! It's helpful to have the full list of games, reviews, and ratings all in one place, and the search function works nicely as well. The only thing holding it back from a fifth star IMO is two things: 1.) There doesn't seem to be an option to swipe left/right thru the list of games, which would be handy for casual browsing. 2.) When selecting a game, reading the review, and backing out, it takes you back to the beginning of the list. It would be better if it remembered your place in the list, so you don't have to keep scrolling back down to view the next game.

Been waiting for the droid version for a while and it does not disappoint! I've added in all the games I own and am looking forward to using it for further collecting.
