GPS Compass Basic for Android
It's a worst app I have ever seen
I like her
Nice app i like it
Love it
Useful
The app doesn't work and is ad ridden.
Dont work with gps
Worth less
What makes a compass work isn't just magnatite orienting to the magnetic North pole but a person's orientation to the compass. This app doesn't permit this orientation thereby, always reading the same direction, regardless of position change.
I have Galaxy j7, there no magnetic sensor in my phone, Compass does not work.

But Can not get rid of the advertisement so I had to delete app
I need it a compass for driving orientation. Some othe compasses didnt work on my phone. This one does. Only con: North, wont stay up when my phone is rotated.
This app uses the motion of your phone to sense your bearing. That is quite a good feature. Some phones like the Zenfone and my own Xolo do not have magnetometers. This helps you to get the direction even without that sensor. User interface should be a bit better though.
Just the simple GPS app I was looking for. I use it to mark where I drop crab pots and navigate back to them. The ease of use and minimal number of taps required is awesome. Suggestions: 1) Add estimate of GPS accuracy to compass display 2) Make the bars on the compass thicker so they're more visible 3) More color options for compass display
Great app with less space taken
Useless

Doesn't do anything.
As soon as the first ad shows, the compass freezes
Not in use
Great app with less space taken

My phone is lenovo s820, a mediatek mt6589 based that doesn't have magnetic sensor, so many compass apps on play store don't work for me. This app works perfectly. You need to configure this app to use gps compass instead of magnetic one or automatic in preferences. You also need to walk fast or even run to make the gps compass works as intended.

If I go to Settings and turn gps ON, this app says “waiting for gps.” If I go to Settings and turn gps OFF, this app works fine. I assume it’s just me, but what the...
This app does not correctly take phone orientation into account. It managed to fool me while I was location scouting and I needed to establish true directions. If the phone is relatively flat like you would hold a compass, it can freak out and give false directions. Investigating further after some of my scouting photos were off by quite a bit in direction, I determined this app gave wrong results where others gave correct results. Things were salvageable but I wound up with some egg on my face for using this.
Works for me! Potentially very useful capability to mark a new waypoint on map by taking two bearings on a distant object or landmark, but if using the magnetic compass function you have to be very careful with phone alignment to be sure of getting an accurate convergence point of the bearing lines. I have had successes and failures, I think the further apart are the two points from which bearings are taken, the better. Let's face it, apart from the GPS location feature, which is amazingly accurate. a mobile phone is not really a high precision navigational instrument, but this app does a very good and worthwhile job with the functionality available.

I cannot determine whether the the bearings are magnetic, or have been corrected for magnetic declination. I tend to believe that they are not corrected, but since smartphone compasses are not very accurate, I have no confidence in that conclusion
Over the past months I've tried pretty much all the compass apps for use in a my works van. The magnetic ones don't work with all the metal in the dash and the GPS ones trend to be too detailed or the numbers too small. This one I'd nice, clear and simple, and goes into GPS mode over 5KM/H. It's very accurate and the speed is very clear too. Brilliant! Simply the best!
Saved day when Garmin plotter went u/s
This application is fantastic. Perfect for boating and private pilots
It is very good
So simple and usefull! Thanks!

Terrible. Everything is a mess. It manages to display the compass, that's all I can say for it.
