About Phonetracker Locator LITE
The Phonetracker Locator is primarily used to indicate the location of an Android smartphone via GPS tracking and can therefore replace a standard GPS Tracker. This location is sent programmatically or via query over a GPRS server to the Phonetracker Location Center and displayed there.
In addition, the user of the app can look at his own position on an Open Street Map and query the current address of this position. In addition to this basic version there is also available an extended version called Phonetracker Locator DeLuxe with the following properties:
- Distance-based position report
- Position report at a change of direction
- Speed monitoring (minimum or maximum of speed)
- Area monitoring (10 configurable regions; monitoring on leaving or entering)
- Message for lack of messages ("Idle alert")
- Log function (up to 2000 position data is written to the internal memory and can later be transferred via GPRS)
- Chat function (transmission of text messages between Phonetracker Location Center and App user)
The LITE version sends in an adjustable cycle (from 30 seconds) a position report to the location control center.
The app requires a GPS sensor, which must be activated manually. To communicate a radio data connection (i.e. GPRS) is required - WLAN is not enough - important when using the app on a tablet!
