Hitachi Wi-Fi Speaker for Android
I wanted to stream music to multiple speakers and have range. This does exactly that. But almost nothing else. They did make some improvements a while back, but that was to just make it a good functional app. It could use a good EQ.
I'm getting tired of apps trying to get my location. It's a speaker! You don't need to know my location for the app to work!
Please update the app. Much of it works well enough, but excluding repeat and shuffle doesn't make sense. Please add these features at least. Sure other source apps and the ability to assign left & right channels would nice but that isn't crucial. ,
No access to Google Play from this player? Are you kidding me. that renders it pretty much useless. :(
I love the HiFi speaker the sound is amazing for its size my problem seems to lie in the app itself because it will cut off the song right before it's ready to end it'll just stop and go to the next song very aggravating I hope they can do something to fix it
WHY IS THERE NO SUPPORT FOR GOOGLE MUSIC, THERE'S ONLY A FEW SERVICES AVAILABLE, THIS SUCKS!!!
App works but needs more music services or the option to add more. Let Amazon and Pandora.
Doesn't work
Easy to use and works reliably!
Please get Pandora, TuneIn, and I HEART Radio support. Also, it really needs a remote control. Those two things would solve some annoying problems for me. I will say this is the best sounding wireless speaker I've come across. Also the app interface needs an aesthetic overhaul.
The app itself isn't terrible, but it's inexplicably not updated for Android 6. This required me to install it on an old tablet I had laying around, which is inconvenient. Although the app itself doesn't support many players, the Bluetooth streaming would solve this problem if I could run the app on my primary device.
Will not stay connected. Have to use Bluetooth mide on my phone. Tried Spotify on my tablet I have to buy premium Spotify. WOW.
Unable to play more than two songs using wifi. Use bluetooth only. This app need improvement.
Couldn't get it to connect with my Wi-Fi. Hitachi customer support stated that their wireless speakers and App don't work with WPA/WPA2 security modes which my router uses.
Would love to be able to control the mode of the speaker with this app. Wifi to Bluetooth would be excellent.
Hate u can't u use it on pc
It's ight
I can only blue tooth it from my phone or connect a 3.5mm cable to the L 100 speaker.Even though it's connected by way of ethernet the app only displays music services I don't want.So I don't even use ethernet.
Playing through wifi works perfectly but bluetooth play is kind of muffled and crackly don't know why
Very util app I used all the time I can at home
I bought the Smart W200 for my Girlfriend... She started using it with Bluetooth and was great except she can't adjust the volume, so we tried to get the WiFi SetUp, but It wasn't easy as it basically creates it's own WiFi to begin and you have to connect to it but it does not Support initially MAC Authentication, so you will have to disable it until you're done with SetUp. I was unable to Connect any of our phones with this app (we have NEXUS Phones) so we are forced to use the buttons to adjust Volume...
Inexplicably it appears that there is no support for the latest version of Android. I'm running 6.0.1 and the app will not connect to the speaker. My wife is running 5.1.1 and has no issues. If I could use the app I would give it at least 4 stars because of the layout and ease of use.
The Wi-Fi app setup with relative ease. However, the big downfall is that it does not stream directly from your PC to the speaker. You are required to use your phone or tablet as the intermediary. So your phone always needs power and be connected to a home network. You can connect to your PC but only play music *stored* on your PC, but you CAN"T stream anything else, like web radio stations etc. You're left with having to use and pay for services like Rhapsody or Spotify. Speaker sound falls into the deep bass range. Overall this speaker is a C- rating. Done over, I would now rather purchase the Amazon Echo or similar.
Can't get it to play. Software on both my phone and tablet keep crashing when you add songs to play. Needs a fix ASAP have a 180.00 paper weight.
Doesn't stay connected. Doesn't find my speakers.
I hope the new speakers come with an in-built battery, so it can be Truly wireless.
Works great but needs a E.Q. to be perfect!

It needs a way to build and add songs you a playlist. Currently, you must play a song that you want added, then save. The playlist creation ability is really primitive. But the worst part is, they lose connectivity to your wifi network every other day and you hammer to repeat setup to get them back
