I think previous version of app was better than this new version. Also there is some problem in news loading.

Now it is much better, much attractive, More columns too. My older bookmark are still available great!! Welldone Team Newsbyte !!

I love the way the news are being presented here. This news app has basic intro to the story..much needed for those who are new to the topic. Then body..with no paragraph and no lengthy articles; only to the point news. And the best thing is introduction of 'facts' related to story makes reading interesting. Specially for students, nice current-affairs coverage. Please keep updating the story line.

AMAZING App with good UI. Its very sorted as far as the news presentation is concerned. Very well done with distinguished design as all imp info of any news are on top and if you are interested you can swipe for more precise info with dates. Great

I have recently uninstalled BBC news app and The Hindu news app, because both provided a plethora of information but were irrelevant and slow, respectively. And Voila! I discovered this app through Hike and Boy, am I glad! You make the task of digesting news so easy and fun. Keep up the fabulous work guys. P.s- Happy new year

I liked the way the app has been designed. You can follow the news from it beginning , which is great from my aspects. The only drawback I would say is that it shows m the news only from US and India . I don't know the reason but if it is their policy than I would like a bit change and would like to follow the news from all over the world or atleast half of it.

It's a great app that makes super short summaries on latest news! One request I have (of course it's not necessary i'll still use this app) but can you add a US politics section? Just because I want to know some short summaries on what the Trump administration plans to do and has done. (Thanks for replying!)

Beats inshorts in many ways. A nice gist is provided, we can get further details if we want. Well structured. Easy to share the story unlike inshorts. Two suggestions: (1) Avoid dividers within text (2) Don't overlay text over images or do it subtly.

The best app for current affairs. I would recommend this app specially for people who want to start reading news and update their knowledge on current affairs. The best part about this app is the news timeline through which you can follow news from the beginning. A small suggestion to never EVER remove the timeline feature as it makes the app quite unique. Also please include Bangalore in the 'Your city' section. Totally loved this app. Keep up the good work. :)

I think this app is the one of the best app among all.. i want to give some suggestions like some words including in paragraphs for eg (criticism, nationalism ect)must have a direct link to internet server or dictionary for finding their meanings .. thanx

Hope i don't see adds cluttering news spaces in coming days. Cutting down the count of news apps in my mobile to one: NEWSBYTE. just one thing if u can provide for log-in so that if we need to change device there we can use sync facilities.

This app is wonderful. Articles/News are quite helpful in preparing for competitive exams.. But it would be good if you can provide a inbuilt dictionary as others have this kind of facilities. Sometimes its quite difficult to go back/exit and search the word through some other dictionary or moblie app..

I finally resorted to this app after trying so many... This is the best one out there... lightweight and concise... only one ask...Is it possible to add your own editorials or from any of the popular newspapers like the Hindu, etc without making the app heavy and keeping it smooth how it is?

The news don't get updated fast(timely) and many important news are given a miss. This could still be a great app but developers need to make sure that the news are updated more frequently and more news (important ones ofc) are included. Until that happens, its just another average app. Ps : no ads is a good feature indeed for a free app to have. New edit : thanks 4 reply. Dear Nikhil, At first I thought this was another app similar to "Inshorts" (pretty popular these days). But the UI, especially the sub-headers for each article of news is simply amazing. Brilliant concept. All the best for your future endeavours.

I really like the thought process of the developer to give the timeline of a particular news. I have a suggestion, please fix the animation of the refresh button at top right. It should be round just like the search button animation and remove the help when long pressing the top right buttons. And although this app is ad free I would like to suggest to never incorporate ads, as they tend to make people loose intrest in the app.

I nearly tried a dozen apps including one from my all time favorite news paper The Hindu... But all of them disappointed with poor way of presentation. I had in mind to test this app... Finally feel I got what I wanted... Great app.. gud work..

Too many news items.. no time saving rather wastage of time. Give option to users to choose the maximum number of news items. I can definitely give another chance provided you build an option for choosing a max limit of news items. I would like to read 10-15 (max) top news items of the day: 40% on India; 10% on business, jobs, career; 20% on entertainment, tech, health, lifestyle, sports combined (not necessary all areas covered every single day, based on importance of the news); 20% world news, and 10% positive news.

What the journalism is app following App is covering cricket pro kabbadi league but at the same time no coverage to Asian athletics championships. This is turning into a news entertainment app. It cover only interesting news knowledgeable or not. Refuting its own purpose of timeline. Timeline made the uninteresting news interesting because it provided introduction to the boring news and we understand the boring news easily and easy is always interesting. Lacking serious news topics in the app. I think it is right to say newspapers can't be replaced by an app because app developers do fall in traps of likes or ratings.

I'm quite flabbergasted by the functionality of it, especially the way it makes the background of the story available. Whenever we come across a new story, this application provides all the facts we need to know. No need to read lengthy paragraphs, just a few important facts and you are up to date with the current affairs. Please do provide more categories and expand the local news circle to cover at least the major cities of the states.

The timeline approach this app takes is a first of its kind, kudos for that. But problems such as the inability to view full-size images and missing letters in heading fragments is a real turnoff for me. It makes me wonder each time what the heading might be and disrupts the reading flow.

The app is innovative and the idea is unique.. i would suggest some features.. one would be a widget for the app so that we can access the news from the home screen.. also an option to bookmark topics not only articles.. so that news from our bookmarked topics are shown first.. these features would definitely help the app

Great news app. After trying lots of other apps, finally settled on this one and no regrets so far. I do wish that there was an option to silence(not disable) the notifications Edit: Is there an option to silence notifications on this app?

It was working fine till last week. Now it gets stuck after i read 2 or 3 news which makes me restart it again. Quite irritating

This app provides news and information in best possible way by going deep into the event and linking all the related events and bringing them up along with the recent happenings. But similar to other news-media app, they are also biased. As we all know most of the news we have in India are politically-religiously related. So some media are biased toward Hindus and some toward Muslims, and Newsbytes are biased toward Muslims. I've noticed them multiple times in their articles showing Muslims as victims and Hindus or others as oppresser. But not one single time, they have mentioned Muslims as the real culprit or conspirators behind any event not even in events related to ISIS attacks. This is what I hate about media. This app is no different. PS. I have nothing against Muslims. It is just I can't stand extremism from any religious group, be it Hindu extremism or Islamic and those who try to defend them rather than exposing them on equal ground.

This is totes gonna be my go-to news app. The layout's great and this is one content-rich app. Honestly, I have only jusssst started using this app and as of now, I have neither complaints, nor suggestions. I am aware that this review may not be entirely convincing to some, in which case I suggest that you check out other reviews which are much better worded and more importantly, come from people who are actually using it on a daily basis. Either way, the conclusion pretty much remains the same. This is a great app!

I love almost everything about this app. Just two things I'm not a fan of: 1. Please add Kolkata as a city. 2. Please redesign the app icon. The overall app needs some polishing.

I would say this is the best app so far I had seen .. the best part is that you get to know that facts and then the sources too with the amazing bookmark facility... Thank you so much for making this app.. loved it One thing I would like to suggest you is that plz make a login Id for the user so that if in case they uninstall the app then also when they reinstall the app their bookmarks and stories must be saved as they were before.. This is a good app. There is one area of improvement which I felt can save time of regular readers : how many pages are added in today's development of news should get displayed along with the heading. This will save time as many a times, I ended up scrolling a news item just to check whether they have added one page only(which is displayed in feed) or added more pages so that I dont miss out on any new development in the storyline.

You have been giving wrong information. Just now how can you put in your title that the terrorist who attacks the Christmas market is from Pakistan when you have no surety about this information. This is a call for hatred. I don't like this app. The information are not presented in a serious way.

The better alternative to in shorts It does what it promises, it not only tells you the news in brief but also gives you context and extraneous details if you need it. Kudos to the NewsBytes team.

Awesome App Finally, I found this. I tried lots of news app, but none impressed me. I was looking for a news app which should give more information than News in short app and less than all conventional apps same time able to check the background of news if I needed. That's exactly I found from NewsBytes. Enjoying a lot . Lots of thanks to developers

This is a superb app. Well designed and well thought. It provides me easy to digest news quickly all at one place. Looks like they have some rock-star Koders like Kboy...leading the development. Well done. Way to go...

Perhaps the only news app where the reader doesn't have to be up-to-date. The timeline feature ensures that the user gets the full picture.

The app is good and useful , but i am facing an issue , it doesn't show any news notification , i have to open the app and click refresh and to read the news. I have turned on the notification option in the settings .

After civilsdaily i found second any app which provide somuch quality Current affairs in depth. i like specialy ur search option Thanks and keep it up your service. ☺

I've used almost all popular news related applications but none of them were even half as informative as Newsbytes. The date/year part in each news is simply simply amazing. This gets to know about the history of every particular news.
