Songs require you to scroll the screen which is a bit difficult while playing. Chords also not always lined up where they should be for the changes.

Brilliant app that not only teaches you the chords and tuning but also provides a substantial list of tabs to learn! Definitely recommend this app. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

A bit daunting for a beginner and hope to be able to pay some of them one day.... Any chance of some strumming patterns?

Great!

Song selection is minimal, the tuner requires you touching the screen for each note (kinda hard when you're TRYING TO PLAY!!), has no tabs or "play along"... and has pretty much no "instruction". If you could learn how to play an instrument from READING, everyone would know how to play...

If you already know how to play, this is a good set of lead sheets for performing. It is certainly not an "ez" method for learning. Find an old copy of Mel Bay's "Fun with the Ukulele" in a second-hand bookstore if you want to learn to play at a good beginner pace.
