I have found invaluable as someone who suffers from atrial fibrillation as it allows me to adjust my training for the day. Where as in the past I would have just carried on regards of how I felt by felt but more importantly how my heart function. At appts with consultants I javelin been identify the days and show the heart trace Highly recommend

V70%
by V####:

App keeps disconnecting from my ant+ heart rate chest strap. Not very useful.

X70%
by X####:

Was a great app, but with this latest update it started having frequent trouble connecting to my ANT+ monitor, and has been crashing half the time when I open it.

X70%
by X####:

HR ties in with how I feel and tell me that I can perform even when I think I should have an easier day. It does what it says excellent. My trainer prompted me to try it.

X70%
by X####:

The app itself is great. However, they want to charge a lot of money to download the data onto my computer or view/user it anywhere outside the app.

X70%
by X####:

Seems more accurate to how I'm feeling. Bit slower connection .does this New version calculate for ectopic beats ? It was supposes to be implemented by next software update but not confirmed anywhere? Great app though.

X70%
by X####:

Excellent app. Bluetooth issue. Ant+ don't correct data.

X70%
by X####:

Great indicator of training stressors. When I can train hard and not too.

X70%
by X####:

I love the app and the attention to details. It's easy to use and to get help. The podcast and blog are a great plus.

X70%
by X####:

Interesting metric that seems to track how well I'm training.

I love this app and would give 5/5 if more HRV training options would be implemented.

Very useful app to check on how my training stressors are going

Very handy for pre training evaluation and summarizes condition for my distant coach easily.

Great app! Helps to understand the proper time to train hard and to rest and recover.

X70%

Add syncing with training peaks (feature currently in development) and it'll be perfect

X70%

Perfect for the keen athletes that want to keep on top of recovery!

X70%

A big part of my triathlon training!

V70%

Great app for what it is designed for!!! Strongly recommended daily use!!

X70%
by X####:

Does what it promises. Extra content (podcasts) is great as well, I enjoy listening those episodes, Jason seems to be passionate about the HRV topic. Most useful application is as expected, to help you decide when to back off, and when to train harder. It's been quite a few times that I woke up feeling sluggish and planned to reduce training, while reading showed I am OK, and yes all those times I could stay on track. It also worked for me the other way, I could see when I should really back off.

Overall I really like the app, and I usually test every morning and base training decisions on the data. I find myself wondering if I've improved since I started using the app. It can graphically show me, but with months of data it's a bit cluttered. A great addition would be a more streamlined way to tell if you've improved your hrv or lowered your hr over time, and celebrate that victory.

X70%
by X####:

I like this app, and have enjoyed seeing my HRV status as I'm a competitive cyclist. However, recently I can't get it to get readings with my Garmin chest strap. It says connected but then won't take a reading. I've done everything, and I've even trouble shot it with other computers and my chest strap works just fine, so it's definitely the app. That sucks too cause I really like this

Got this to pair with my Scosche Rhythm+ to use during jiu-jitsu. It's a streamlined and minimalist app that seems to have a lot of features. Unfortunately, the most important feature, the sustained connection to my HRM, is not there. I have run this in conjunction with the much less polished app Pulsometer (ad-supported too) for about two weeks and that one succeeds where this one fails. As such, I part ways with Elite here and hope to revisit it some day when it sorts this issue out.

Y70%
by Y####:

Updated in Dec 16: I love the features, graphs, and cloud-based exportable history tracking of this app. This app previously had reliability issues connecting to my Polar H7 heart monitor compared to other apps like Runkeeper, but it's gotten significantly better thanks to recent developer improvements. Hence, upgrading to 5 of 5 star rating.

W70%
by W####:

Very good predictor of how my HIIT days will go. If the Morning Readness is way off, I adjust my schedule. Before HRV some days crossing 95% was beyond intense. Now, still hard but I can get up there and work it. A useful tool.

X70%
by X####:

Had a few issues with Bluetooth connection but had great back up service and help from Jason. Most useful to help people like me who feel guilty taking a day off training. This app tells you to have a lie in if you are pushing too hard. Thankyou for a great app!

X70%
by X####:

Fantastic app. Support from Jason is outstanding! I am taking my HRV every morning for 2.5mn sitted 5mn after waking up. Would be nice to know how the HRV score is calculated. Is a bad score coming from a below HRV baseline or a higher than usual resting heart rate, both? And from which current baseline HRV value is the morning readyness compared too.

X70%
by X####:

Excellent. It is like being backed up with support from a wise coach, extreme trainer and a kindly grandmother. When to train, when to back off, when NOT to train. When to avoid stressful situations and when to dive in. Not just for exercise. Brilliant, google-like design: that is simple but powerful. Support is spot-on.

X70%
by X####:

It is fun. However, does it have a real meaning? I doubt. I ignore the app's recommendation and I could find only a small negative correlation between the app's recommendation and my subjective feeling after the training. There are, anyhow, only three possible simple recommendations.

X70%
by X####:

Does this work with the Garmin Heart rate monitor? My device seems to have trouble connecting to the monitor. I really want to use this app for my training.

K70%
by K####:

The app is decent, but pretty useless on it's own. It would be much better if this information could be exported into other systems, such as Training Peaks or Google Fit. I want to be able to graph my readings along with my weight, sleep, amount of exercise, daily steps etc.

I70%
by I####:

I have been using this app for many months and the results are spot on. The ups and downs in the morning readiness readings correlate very closely with my state of health, exercise load and stress level making it a valuable tool.

X70%
by X####:

I love this app, I take one HRV reading in the morning and it tells me when to skip my exercise routine due to sympathetic or parasympathetic overtraining. It is easy to use and I am looking forward to using it in the future. P.S I use it with Polar h7

X70%
by X####:

The most clean, effective and important app you can download as an endurance athlete. This app will single-handedly eliminate the chance you keel over after 20 years of endurance training from a failed heart.

X70%
by X####:

I've been using for about 4 months first with Scosche Rhythm and then switched to Polar H7 after learning why the Rhythm is less accurate. I do the morning readiness daily and add tags. I noticed that my 7-day average HRV has gone up when i am exercising more consistently. HRV also alerted me to illness and bad food a few times (with my reflection). I got my wife to do daily readiness as well so we can know how much we can exercise. We are nordic skiers, runners, and road cyclists. Great app! I listen to the podcast to learn more about how to interpret the readings.

W70%
by W####:

I want to love this but my polar h7 struggles to stay connected. The hr monitor works everywhere else except for this app. Bummer. EDIT: thanks for reaching out and helping to get my problem fixed.

X70%
by X####:

This app has a real hard time finding my TICKR. 99% of the time I have to start STRAVA 1st (which finds TICKR immediately!) in order for it to start reading OR delete the TICKR and find it again! Very frustrating. That being said, the app is great once it's reading HR! - One week after writing the 1st part of this review, it took me 37 minutes to connect! I suggest you work with more HR straps and zero in on this problem! Strava works perfectly, so it should be doable for EliteHRV!

X70%
by X####:

Great app, very nice and simple UI. Does the job to track HRV. Only complaint is that the graphs are too simple. Would be nice to read numbers that it is graphing as I drag my finger, spoiled from using my Garmin app.

Z70%
by Z####:

Junk. Will not connect to Garmin HRM strap. This is an ANT strap and other HRM apps connect to it immediately. Not yours.

X70%
by X####:

Great app but since updating it can't connect to my heart rate strap. I've connected and disconnected. Shut the app down. Restarted my phone. Changed battery. Nothing... any help?

X70%
by X####:

I have a Fitbit blaze which is connected to my Bluetooth and has no problems. Is this app not compatible? The app finds the monitor but can't connect. Help?
