How does it work?
This app requires EyeTV W, a small hardware accessory, to tune into free over-the-air Freeview (DTT/DVB-T). Watching TV with EyeTV W doesn’t require any wires: the built-in, rechargeable battery powers your TV freedom for up to four hours, while live TV is sent straight to your device wirelessly through a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. You don’t need an internet connection to watch TV with EyeTV W, so you will never have to wait for any data to load and don’t have to pay monthly service or data bills.

EyeTV W requires an Android device with a 1 GHz or faster dual-core ARM CPU and Android 4.0.3 (“Ice Cream Sandwich”) or later. Playback of MPEG-4/H.264 video requires a processor with NEON support (e.g. Tegra3).
Important notes
• The amount of EPG data and teletext information varies by broadcaster and may not be available.
• DTT/DVB-T/TNT/Freeview broadcasts vary in bitrate. Playback quality of high bitrate channels may be limited by 802.11g Wi-Fi network bandwidth.
• EyeTV W supports MPEG-2 video in standard and high definition, MPEG-4/H.264 video in standard definition as well as DVB-T radio, if available. High definition MPEG-4/H.264 channels, encrypted programs and/or DVB-T2 broadcasts are not supported.

I strongly recommend this it works great on my Samsung s5 and my galaxy tablet. Though one drawback is with the recording you can't select the ext SD card which obviously has more memory than the internal memory of a fone or tablet.... please add this function to this and it will be even more awesome.

When a good reception can be received fine..other wise lines and no signal will be accepted miss placed pixels.. This is frustrating when this happens otherwise it's OK...a great idea and certainly is of use..works on my tablet so 4 and even a 5 star rating may be given......and is for those who don't get the issues I have written about a total joy to use..nice

The device and the application this the best you can get to watch TV from your country, the eyeTV W this a bit expensive but this the best device you can get. Recommend to all

A brilliant little device. It streams digital TV to your tablet or mobile. You can set it up in any location an watch TV in your shed, outside, in another room or camper and tent. Connect to mains, 12v or run it on battery for about 5hours. The tuner is more sensitive than my free view box. Under £50, its a no brainer!

All the claims are just claim for Android OS . Apple version only version that actually detect device , asks location and then you can Tune ...Samsung S2 You will need to operate in aeroplane mode only as the GSM interference with Eye TV tuning.

Brilliant bit of kit. Works everywhere. Perfect and essential for boring camping and I've always had reception wherever I've been. Works flawlessly everytime!
