Detect-O-Gromit

Takes huge 25mb phone memory. Kept crashing. Most annoying is the back button. when you click on a grommit on the map to view or find it and then go back to map it goes to some random place and have wait for GPS to find you again. Resorted to more reliable paper map in the end.

Really useful app, used as map to help track down ones we might have missed. Looking forward to reading all other info included.

I enjoyed the trail, and the app was very helpful finding the Gromits further from thje city centre, and keeping track of where I'd been.

Great content with explanations about each Gromit statue. Made it much easier to locate the statues. Could be improved by giving some indication of which of the Gromit statues are indoors and the latest time you can visit them. :-)

Extremely useful for finding all the fantastic gromits. And its money to charity ! Find them all

Found all 80 Gromits on the trail thanks to this app, great fun!!

Biggest flaw being that you can't say u found the London one if you are not near it.

Fun (and very addictive!) little app to help you tick off all the gromits + donate to charity at the same time!

After a lot of trouble, many tantrums as well as many hours sulking, all GPS related problems have been resolved, to leave the user with what it should have been all along: a fun app, destined for a good cause, while using the excuse to get out in the fresh air. Shame it didn't start out like that!

Would be better to have high res screen support, some of the graphics look a little standard def.

Super helpful tracking! Thrilled that all proceeds go to the Grand Appeal! Love ticking them off and the little tidbits if extra info like the Pixar video! Amazing guys!!

Fabulous app to accompany the Gromit hunting. Now with the added feature of unfind.

Not as intuitive as I'd like but can eventually get the hang of it. Also GPS isn't as accurate as Google Navigation.

Im not trying to unfind gromits though. Im trying to find the london one as I forgot to click found u wen I was in london!! I have android phone, and the mist up to date app and it still doesnt let me find it with gps turned off. I appreciate you guys getting back to me however you have said if I just update my app I should be able to click found you with gps turned off. Problem with this is that I have the latest version of the app already and it wont let me do this...

Have now seen all 81 gromits. But the app will not let me find Amazing. It says I am not close enough, but I have found all the others from home. How can I mark off this one so the app shows that I have seen them all.

Really good app and really fun for the kids.. Only flaw I would say is it doesnt tell u exactly where they are like on the paper map it will say.. 'At the cascade steps' for example or 'inside hotel du vin' instead of spending hours following a GPS not quite sure where u are.

Brilliant being able to read extra info about each gromit and artist...fab little app....can the developers help me tick off the London gromit? I took a photo with the gromit there before getting the app...and can't seem to tick it off now im not in London? Have tried turning off gps (and wi-fi and mobile internet - just in case) but no luck

I love this app and it's working really well to help me find more every time I go out... only point I could make is to create a button for us to see all the gromits we've FOUND :-) thanks for helping the children's hospital in such a fun way xxx Found 56 in the end :-D

Works perfectly Great way to keep track of the gromits i have found. Definetly worth the money

The app, as mentioned by others only records one photo per gromit which means I lost many a photo. Be warned. Just use your camera function separately. Very disappointed.

App was basic but functional. I've recently replaced my handset and can't find a way of restoring my finds. Any tips?

The UI could do with improving (the back button can be inconsistent, the UI is obviously cloned from the iPhone, some areas are low-res and the info on the Gromit page triggers too easily when you want to scroll) but having been out on the hunt with the app then it does what you need well enough - we found the Gromits we were looking for quite easily using the map.

Good app but be aware that the photo option ONLY saves the last shot you take. Only just found out after getting home from 4hrs hunting to find I don't have some great shots. Gutted

I won't ask for a refund from a charity, but now i will never find the Gromits! Will have to try again next weekend with my Nexus to see if that works any better. This has just topped off a really bad day with a swirl of turd. Very disappointed.

Downloaded and try to open app comes up saying syncing but then closes itself!!! I know its for a good cause but this really has been a waste of time and effort!!!

I can forgive the bad graphics & usability as this might be the companies first app but not adding social sharing of images/achievements is a huge mistake. Still can't find the share button on Nexus 4 even after reply from dev?? Am I missing something? (see above for usability)

Originally gave this one star as could not log finds - GPS was out. Developers have now improved this and the app works a treat for us. Our family have loved getting out and about in bristol gromit searching. The app has certainly helped choose where to go next... we just need a dual "found gromit" button to stop the kids fighting over who logs the finds!!!! Thanks

Tried to download it on wifi each time it fails to install because of invalid package data (429) ?!. Very disappointed & cannot get a refund now as tried to install it multiple times. Have cleared cached processes on phone also as advised should have read all the reviews before buying as gs3 and s3 minis appear to be a problem with this app. Nice idea shame it doesnt work.
