Works great, even with my not so fast prepaid phone.. there should be more instructions on operation, however, with a little time, I believe that anyone can figure it out!!! Saved me hundreds of dollars per month on fees from security company... Thank you all for this!!!

Hookup is easy to see when your home on WiFi but different story trying to view away from home.

Works great but took a little while to configure the setup. From what I have seen in the lower scored comments does show the lack of documentation but at the base level it can work. the ip for local lan wi-fi will change from the wan or internet side of the home router. When using the app on 4g LTE or other outside internet device use the ip address of your home isp provider assigned to you. When accessing from behind the same router it will change the ip to your DHCP or local lan. I found i had to port forward the the router to the local ip:port name the dhcp assigned in order for the app to find the dvr. i recommend a fixed internal ip for the dvr. The setup on most routers is a little different because of how they describe what their brand means by "port forward". I found forwarding through the AT&T Uverse router is firewall/NATgame tab. the others will not do it. The ELEC website server for viewing the cams is down and has been for a couple of weeks. It is strange the app works great for me but not the ELEC web site server. My guess is the mobile app does not use the Elec server but uses a more direct vector.

For those who say it doesnt work without wifi, you need to set the ports on your router so that you can view anywhere off of any device, do some research first b4 you say it doesnt work, giving bad reviews for no reason I LOVE this app!

This app and its cameras with the dvr are one hundred times cheaper and better than NightOwl. I have both and this one seems to work the best. Never freezes and playback on my remote device is always on top of its game. Completely satisfied with this product.

App doesn't work, Elec company is a cheap products producer and their app are free but they don't work.

It will not let me connect with my phone on its own network or any other network for that matter of his in the router that the cameras are on inside my home. Why?

Even tried the new kiwii version same BS with it too...still waiting to hear from customer service..first attempt at customer service I got an email that said "that doesnt sound right" no suggestions or anything..hopefully the second attempt helps..ughhhh

After the last update the app is no longer taking me to the login page. Launching the app just loads app overview pages. Galaxy S5.

As long as I'm home and connected to the same router/network it works beautifully. But when I go to the other end of the house. Where I have a different router/network it will not connect. As well as my 4G connection doesn't work either. You know what else doesn't work? Android Matricom GBox. It says not compatible with my device. This was one of my main reasons for purchasing this unit. I thought I'd be able to down load the app to my Android T.V. box. Come on delvelopers lets get this together

I tried this app in my HTC and my Mini IPad and these divices just work fine in home. I go out the home and tried my divices with strong WiFi and 4g speed and don't work.

It was working fine. Now after update I can't find my devices. I can't check on my cameras. Ok update : its now working fine.

It wasnt working ok 3 weeks ago..but now Not working anymore..please fix it...

Everytime you are away you have to configure the IP address with your external IP address manually..when your home and open up this app it willl connect automatically with your wifi using your local IP address so you have to edit again and again manually viewing it outside your network..and also it uses quicktime player plugins to view it on windows based computer which is not working properly on newer web browser (HTML5)..please fix this..

I find this app extremely easy to use and have never had any problems viewing it away from home.
