ميّز الله شهر رمضان على سائر الشهور في السنة، وخصّه بمزايا كبيرة وفضائل كثيرة، فيكفي أنّ الله أنزل كتاب القرآن الكريم فيه لنعرف مدى التميز الذي أعطاه إياه. في هذا الشهر فرض الله الصيام على المؤمنين، فالصوم صحة، ونادى فيه بالدعاء إذ جعل الله هذا الشهر شهر التوبة والمغفرة وتكفير الذنوب والسيئات.
