VirtualMerchant Mobile is a mobile payment app that allows businesses to securely process credit and debit cards through Elavon, a leading payment processor, in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. VirtualMerchant Mobile is a free app that is an extension of VirtualMerchant, a robust solution that allows you to process payments in person, on the phone, online, and now on your mobile device.

Getting started is easy!

1. Download the VirtualMerchant Mobile App for free!
2. Open the App and enter a Device Code of your choice. You will be required to enter this security code each time you access the app. Note: if you do not have an Elavon merchant account, select the ‘I don’t have an account’ option at bottom of the Welcome page.
3. The app will walk you through the configuration steps. Enter your configuration credentials and select the fields you would like displayed on your payment pages for both Keyed and Swiped transactions. When you have completed the configuration process, select “Finished.” You will then be prompted to register the device with VirtualMerchant by selecting “Done.”
4. You can now process transactions!

Note: If you need a card reader to swipe cards, contact your Elavon sales agent.

Having the app installed, always updated, having turned on the magtek bullet it should be a no brainier. But no, let's make this business owner look like a technical idiot in front of his clients that simply want to pay and get back to their hotel room after a 6-8 wine tour. To add insult to injury I then have to manually enter the cc info & pay higher fees. Total BS. It's time to put software engineers on a subject to charge back pay plans. Make the app function properly & keep your pay, if not $ deducted

Seems to have an error multiple times a year that normally requires me to uninstall, reinstall, and renter all of the user settings making this a headache of an app. When working properly it is fine, but there are bugs far to often to get a good review from me.

Easy to use, customer service is good. Been using the app and Magtek card reader for about a year on 3 different phones now. First swiper stopped working after a few months, got a replacement. I do keep it in my purse though. Works most of the time but sometimes takes a couple tries to swipe correctly. I've had a couple errors-one double charged a customer and spun in circles and errored out...Embarrassing at times in front of a customer. Doesn't happen too often though

So I got a new phone but kept the same number download this app again so I could use it and every time I put my account information in it says app is not responding and my mom has the same app and we use the same card swiper and hers is saying the same ting so now we can't use it again and it's brand new a little help would be great thank you

Updated: I have been using this app for three years. A few kinks to iron out after updates but other than that it's been smooth sailing! Previous comment : Will not accept the swipe function. I have to manually key in cc info.

I've been using Elavon for 3+ years now, they were the ones who sent me the free card reader and paper slips (in case you still do business in the 80's), and this app. It's never failed me, but after an update I had to reset the input option back to "audio" - but now I know. Thanks to support!

Doesn't work on my companies unlocked phones.... says that I'm rooted, but I'm just not locked to a carrier... Tried the solution below... FAIL FAIL FAIL

I'm bother to enter all the data manually. It's fails 90% of the time using the reader. A lost of time just trying.

It's not terribly difficult to use. Their customer service has been easy enough for when I've needed them. It's cheaper than most credit services. I can use it on multiple devices.

After I updated my Nexus 5 & 6 to 6.0 Marshmallow I can't access the terminal. The app says my phones are rooted, which they aren't. Need an urgent fix or I'm getting a different provider.

This app won't let me use a Bluetooth card reader I have gone through 2 before having to switch to a headphone reader and now that I have to read chips I need a Bluetooth reader again. Samsung Galaxy S5

everything in this app works great and just did an update, however they haven't fixed the issue with the small space for the customer signature. when you turn your phone sideways, it should enlarge the signature screen also for customers to have more space to sign. that's what most of my customers complain about. they have very little space to sign. fix it please ASAP!

You would think that they would have an app that would serve all phones, however, if you bring a phone from one company to another or your phone is a rooted phone (whatever that means) then you are SOL. Don't waste the 2 hours on hold to finally talk to someone that is going to tell you to pound sand!!!

This is the worst app I have EVER used. Once in a while it will take away my tips for the day when the batch settles. The company says they can't do anything because it is not consistently happening. Uhm...then let me dock it from your pay...then I bet you could fix it. Also, I have called several times for help to get the merchant services added to my website for online shopping...This was 3 weeks ago and they still can't make the shopping cart accept payments. So frustrating!

We have a heating and air conditioning service company and we are in a very rural area, we use the Bluetooth bullet with this app and we very seldom have problems processing credit cards

I expected this to have a few POS functions like the other mobile card reader apps that Ive used. There are no options at all for entering items/ prices/ varying tax rates , etc. Not helpful to me at all. l'll have to stick with Intuit's goPayment and hold out for a serious upgrade

No memory ( everytime one gets logged out because of a phone call or a stupid pop up notification the app completely erases everything including email addresses that had been thoughtfully typed) , no flexibility, ( one should be able to set a log out time without being forced to immediate logout) very little experience in mobile payment processing. ( you may want to try copying someone else's ideas to make this app even somewhat similar)

This just doesnt seem like a serious business app. Once the card is scanned there is no backing up to add or change email address. The font to write in the client email is tiny. There is no saved database of clients for me to use after I gather all these emails. If my client takes too long to sign then it just closes out and we have to start all over again so I can not set it up and leave it for them in thier own time. Many people miss the place to add a tip so its unsatisfactory.
