Epsilon Notes: Markdown Editor for Android
Good for what it is. It would be nice if I could double tap to edit, have edit mode as default and keep multiple files open in edit mode at once. I'm looking for a note app, whereas this is like you're making a website on your phone.
Great! The developer is very responsive to all issues. Using now and it just gets better. Thank you. A suggestion: could the file types go into a preferences option?
If I could give 6 stars to this app, I would. I always tried to keep notes in markdown synchronised with Google Drive, but was never able until I found this app. It is packed full with features, updated frequently and the developer engages with the community. Very very good. I wish there was a way to fund the developer beyond buying the premium version!
I used to use Bananatext, no more. The developer is active has jammed in good features and listens to the users. I'm loving the updates. It keeps getting better!
A bit clunky, especially the free version.
Easy to use, the markdownify feature is absolute genius!!! Get it you will love it
Awesome, but I think the UI is overly complicated what with the file Browser. It should just show recent files by default and have a simple cloud saving option. I love it otherwise, though.
I am non-tech all the way. I am familiar with zero programing languages but this app is surprising me. It seems very full featured (some of which I do not understand, MathJax) but is making it easy for me to gain facility with Markdown and that system's many uses. I am also excited that it promises be a gateway app to wiki-world.
Simply Awesome. The dev is very responsive and involved with the community on Google +, willing to assist with any issues. Great support. Great App. Great dev. Best choice by a long shot. Thanks dev. Appreciate it.
For many years, I've been a happy user of Ema Personal Wiki, but it's a bit limited, & doesn't work perfectly on my Chromebook, so I went in search of something better. I tried every Android markdown app, but most of them failed badly, & not one even came close to Ema, except for Epsilon Notes, which does everything I could possibly ask for, quickly, easily, & reliably. I love it! Time to get out my credit card, & upgrade to the premium edition.
¡Excelente app! He probado muchos editores markdown para Android, y no hay ninguno que le llegue a las características y opciones que ofrece Epsilon Notes. Sumamente recomendado. Vale la pena pagar por la versión Premium, ¡anímate!
Excellent for my programming projects, to-do lists, and lecture notes. I am always moving around so it is hard to take notes of important things. I used to like Todoist but it eventually frustrated me because it took longer for me to reorganise tasks in their proper subtasks and projects and I just dropped it. Used OneNote, didn't like it. I don't mind not having the cloud sync. If others found a way to transfer files, that's good enough for me. I plan on buying the Premium version soon. Thanks for making a very useful markdown editor. Cheers.
I haven't actually used the app, but I've been reading the reviews. I usually learn a lot from what the reviewers have used, or tried to use, the app for. I want to thank the developer. You seem to reply to just about every review. That's uncommon.
update - nice dev, quick replies and a friendly G+ group to ask for tips and tricks --- an overwhelming amount of features available for droids note organizers, although many will feel lost. id like to suggest shipping an 'offline help' doc to include with later versions, preferably readonly so new users can get started.
I would probably buy it if there was a good example sheet for all html commands. I can't be bothered to Google it and switch between browser and app att. A way to copy the folder directory directly from the filebrowser would be good too. BTW I know that you made the editor font size annoyingly big and premiumize the option to change font size and similar stuff just to get ppl to buy but thats a very cheap and bad way to market.
I will surely buy it if it has better ui on high DPI devices. This app is really the best markdown editor I've ever seen, except that the buttons are just two small for me to tap on it accurately.
I really like this app, use it for all kinds of technical writing with code blocks, markdown and html. Interface usability is not a perfect fit for me.
Hi. I just downloaded Epsilon Notes yesterday from Google Play and bought the Premium version. Thank you so much for developing such an awesome app for Android users. I use it with SyncFolder, which is great. Plus it's highly customizable.
Perfect. I'm looking an app like this for all the stuffs in my head
Awesome app for developer! Wonder if git support would be added?
Works great. Multiple folders. Good user interface. Using dropsync as well. Responsive developer. Deserves a wide user base. Goal to be common mark compatible.
Full of useful features. Perfect for managing my markdown notes
Looks and works great.
Easy to use, great UI. Well done
The best of the best for my needs !!!
I've tried a lot of markdown editors, and my current main one is Lynx, but Epsilon's feature set is a much better fit for my current projects! If it continues at its current level of usefulness I will definitely purchase it... at less than $6 USD, the App is exceedingly well placed! One of the most important features, (besides its versatility, of course,) is that, unlike so many other markdown editors, it's not a memory/resources "hog"! For that reason alone, if a person needed a general editor and wasn't ever going to see the markdown features Epsilon would still be the editor to get! I really mean that, no kidding!! Edit:2017/03/05: I've given it 5*s, but to actually rate it, as great as it is, you need to be able to move the App to the SD space. In the middle of a cross-country move. When done with/it I will email you my thoughts on your nifty editor, if that's OK with you. It *really is* a nice editor, got it budgeted to purchase in 1st week of April. Edit: 2017/03/06: OK, trying again to set this to 5*s! This App is worth 5 STARS!!!! I don't know why the rating reverted,I don't care why Google's burped! I just want to rate this GREAT APP AT 5 STARS!
This is an awesome app. It allows navigation of the notes pages as if they were a wiki and stores the data in flat files. This has allowed me to manage my notes on my phone (while I'm out) and then using a simple file sync app, I can send my notes to my home network and work on them there too. I've found the Epsilon Notes is highly compatible with a server equivalent which runs on node.js (see "hads - npm").
Needed this exclusively for opening markdown files (.md file extensions) from Dropbox. Major problem was that saving those files were only done locally and never syncing up (or being uploaded back to my Dropbox account). This is really a shame since the editor itself is the most powerful in the mobile environment. P.S. This isn't a live-preview markdown editor unlike "Writer Plus" but that's a good thing, because you never know when some syntax'll break and your forced to read bad code. Editing raw is preferred so I appreciated that. I just hoped for a simple way to sync my files edited from Dropbox without the need of YetAnotherApp.
С каждой новой версией багов всё больше и больше. В текущей версии уже как минимум три достаточно серьёзных.
Very well thought out program, developer is very active and helpful in the Google+ group!
Does exactly what it claims to do.
Excellent markdown editor with beautiful interface and well-thought out functionality. You can choose the folders where the files are stored on the device, which makes it easy to backup or transfer all your data. This has replaced WPS office and a plethora of other notes apps for *all* my writing and notes. Since the .md source files are a plaintext format all your work remains accessible forever. The app can also export to pdf and html directly. Now, I only wish there was a markdown editor as nice as this for my PC!
My only complaint would be that while it can open files from OneDrive, it throws an error when trying to save that file, and loses your changes if you switch back to view mode.
As a markdown-powered notebook with wiki-style linking and local device storage, it is both rare and beautifully executed. The TOC feature is also highly appreciated. However, as a platform for long-form writing, it has one significant drawback that costs it a star: no matter where you are in preview, hitting edit takes you to the top. If switching between edit and preview modes preserved place, it would be 5 stars.
Just a woderful app! For instance for managing your private wiki in markdown format. You can write math latex-style and even write musical notes. I sync my wiki to my computer via MGit where I can navigate and edit with the vimwiki vim-plugin. Almost the perfect setup except that syncing via git takes a lot of clicks.
界面设计和功能都不够好
A piece of art.
If your work needs you to jot down quick notes without giving you enough time to chase UI icons in regular word processors to format your note, and if you have to creat formatted notes quickly afterwards with almost no time to spare, then this app is for you. If you’re a surveyor, site supervisor, or a general contractor who always needs to make formatted documents but never has time to do it at the job site while taking notes, you owe it to yourself to spend 30 seconds to learn how to use this app and free your mind once and for all. I wish I knew about CommonMark syntax and this app years ago. The working-file of the app is a plain-text that is and will be compatible with all phones, computers, and OSs now and forever. No-one can complain they cannot open your files anymore. The outputs can be in PDF or HTML formats. The native files, i.e. the text file, is tiny, only a few kilobytes; ANY text editor can open and edit it, and most, if not all, Markdown editors can render its outputs the same way. I’m sorry for myself who lost hours of my time trying to painfully format my notes in those WYSIWYG word processors before finding out about this app. One more thing. The developer is awesome, professional, responsible, quick, accessible, and listens to feedback. What else one would need from an app?
Great markdown app. Easy to edit/preview/export. Nice to have file manager built in for hierarchical structure. Excellent INSTANT support!

Great markdown app with a huge amount of features and a very helpful developer. It's great that it can be customized to fit your syntax using the compatibility processor.
