São Jorge foi um valente soldado romano, no exército do imperador Diocleciano, no século IV. Imortalizado no conto em que mata o dragão, venceu contra santanás terríveis batalhas. O Orixá Ogum era o ferreiro dos orixás, senhor do ferro, das armas e dono das estradas. Era o mais velho e o mais combativo dos filhos de Oduduá. Foi o Rei de Ifé e conquistador do reino de Irê, na África. Orixá guerreiro e eterno vencedor, foi um general destemido e estratégico, aquele que veio para ser o vencedor dasgrandes batalhas, o desbravador que busca a evolução. É venerado em todo o mundo como um dos mais importantes orixás da mitologia africana e é o protetor das artes marciais, da agricultura, dos policiais e daqueles que lidam com ferro.
