wanted to load to my pc, as is frustrating to try to read magazines on phone with my old eyes but defaults to my cell phone device and won't let me look for another device. too bad. very disappointing as there are a couple of magazines not available on the other emag service my library offers.

W70%
by W####:

Unusable on a 7" screen. Only gives full magazine view. Text too small to read, zooming requires constant scrolling. Scroll one pixel too far, flips to next page and resets zoom

I've been trying to use this app for over 3 MONTHS NOW ON 2 DIFFERENT CELL PHONES BUT IT HAS CRASHED EVERY SINGLE TIME! I can log into my account on a Win 10 desktop, but I don't want to sit in front of my old monitor to read a magazine. Neither my Samsung S5 nor my new Motor G5 Plus have been able to log in. My library has 2 duplicate entries, but as soon click on either, the app crashes. Are you going to fix this app or just keep collecting the money my library pays you?

E70%
by E####:

Nice, clean, clear way to read magazines checked out from my library account. Took a while to figure out how to flip pages rather than go back to the table of contents, but I like the reading experience. There are fewer magazines available than when the library used the Zinio app but not sure if that's the app or a library change.

Doesn't work. Can't log in.. Have the following message when I try to log in... "We are unable to validate your login credential. The URL you are using may contain an error or the profile you are trying to access may no longer exist. Please contact your institution for assistance." (Authentication Error Code 103)

Easy to use but wish it had a Help feature. I don’t know how to remove a magazine after downloading and reading.

Won't load magazines. Just spins. Often throws me off. This is buggy substandard app

Crashes as soon as I pick a library (NYPL, in my case). Can't even use it. No bueno.

Best app to read emagazine that include Time, popular science etc with proper USA library membership card

C70%

App has extreme trouble downloading more than one item at a time, and when there is so thing on my shelf I cannot download anything else.

C70%
by C####:

This app is just a viewer with no other functionality. I cannot subscribe to magazines nor browse a selection of available magazines without first using my browser to connect to my library. It would be more useful if the app talked to my library and exchanged my credentials. Also it does not allow resizing fonts in text view mode which is a pain on an 8 inch tablet.

W70%
by W####:

I went to the site using Opera on my tablet and don't see an option to open in app. Not very intuitive. If you need an example how to make it easier, look at Zinio. I checkout a magazine on the library webpage and then go to the Zinio app and it's available for download.

Absolutely terrible implementation and service from Flipster. Have tried to use it to acces choice magazine and choice computer and every second magazine especially earlier editions generates errors trying to print due to corruption in the data stored in their Amazon S3 buckets. Have contacted them multiple times and still no agreement to fix the issue. Impacting apparently numerous users and services yet no action to rectify. Application is also tedious to setup.log in, slow, and searching doesn't work as advertised.

This is an app that allows you to access your library's paid subscription to Flipster magazines via android. Live it!

Once I got this ap going, it's fine. However, there is no help whatsoever from Flipster on making that happen. With some googling, I found a tutorial. Still can't use some of the functionality that is supposed to be here, but maybe I can find another tutorial later.

Good start but needs some improvements. Ability to go back to the table of contents or beginning. Need to be able to pick magazines without having to go through the website. Also be able to select text, or bookmark certain pages for future reference would be nice.

I hate that my NY Daily Newspaper is not available during my 4am train ride to work in digital format but the print versions are on the newsstands as I walk by in the station.

Love the magazine subscription via the library. Table of contents and text only features are great. Would love to be able to bookmark! To me that is an essential missing feature!

Looks like my local library downgraded when they switched from Zinio. I used to enjoy reading magazines of a much wider variety and in a format that did not cause all the words to be blurry when zoomed. I appreciate the addition of the text view, it does make it possible to read the articles now. Some magazines, like the cross-stitch ones still need much sharper images. Selection and quality, please improve this app!

unfortunately, you should be using Chrome with this app. the default browser in your tablet probably doesn't understand the command to invoke the download. once you use Chrome to access the Flipster site and touch the "download in app" link, everything works fine. so minus 1 Star for requiring Chrome.
