About EIL Android Apps
In this emerging world of technology, gadgets are becoming smaller, better, and portable. Today, is the world where we do not need wait for the office to come, for sending a mail, or a plane to land, for reading news. So to cope up with the technological advances, EIL has taken its first initiative to provide its employees with an application, “EIL Android Apps”, which will be installed in hand held devices, thereby, providing a 24x7 access to information. This application can be accessed through authorized login only. This Android based application will provide EIL users with a customized view of the ‘EIL Connect’ named ‘EIL Connect Lite’, a customized email application named ‘EIL Mail Lite’ to access EIL email account through Android mobile, and , a customized view of Site Query name as 'SQ Lite' for catalyzing the process of query resolution.
The application will therefore enable EIL users with following features:
EIL Connect Lite
--> Viewing latest corporate news and corporate events including user comments.
--> Viewing what’s new section of EIL Connect
--> Providing useful information to employees like employee contact details, birthday, nominated hospitals, emergency contacts, holiday list etc. including in built search facilities.
--> Viewing director’s messages
EIL Mail Lite
--> Accessing EIL email account for new/unread emails and attachments.
--> Sending emails with email address searching facility.
--> Composing new mail, forwarding and replying of received emails.
SQ Lite
--> Registering a new Query
--> Viewing registered Query
--> Site Query Knowledge Database for reuse of tacit knowledge

Eil app is a grt app. Lots of other things may also be added in the app like leave balance, timesheet etc.

Make ur effort for creating our application for windows mobiles. So that EIL application be used by any kind of smartphone users. I changed my mobile to Nokia lumia. Now I not able to use our appl.

Option of picking up informations like Mobile Nos. or email in clipboard or selections in Utilities for further calling shall be more useful. Punch time is absolutely necessary as a vital information for punching out, if possible shall be included at the earliest. Shuttle timing for EIB-R&D-EIB shall help employees to a large extent.

Nice effort by EIL ITS department, very useful during travelling/ tours.lntially there was a problem( authentication failed) while login mail lite but once again thanks to ITS for their prompt action for my problem and now I am easily accessing my mail . In future we would like to access Eil travel and time sheet also in this application.

ITS done a great job. It is very much useful for every EILans. But we request you to put eil logo in place of EIL. Please add other appln. like intranet so that we can use & utilised anywhere.

Authentication most of the time failed. Dont know what is the issue with this app. More features should be added. Like timesheet filling and leave applications.
