It seemed not to work after the kk 442 update for the Samsung GN3. But if you enable and open Samsung's s voice and disable the home key to open option and re-disable the app it will no longer interfere with this great customization. Thanks to +Stephan Sanchez on G+ for pointing this out. I use it as a quick double tap of the physical home key to Google Now. Edit:doesn't work well with Nova launcher but wasn't really necessary.

Works great on my Galaxy S3, with KitKat 4.4.2. I've mapped the Google app to a double-click, which gives me easy access without using the Google Now Launcher. NOTE: IF you're having problems on a Galaxy device, make sure you disable "Open via the home key" in the S-Voice app settings. If you don't do that, then Home2 won't bring anything up on a double-click, even if you turn off S-Voice.

Cons: interface is not the easiest to setup. Pros: doesnt matter. Set it up once and you are set. Using this app in combination with Google Now, google now actually necomes useful. It is only a brief button click away thanks to this handy app, lending android devices Siri-like voice accessibility. If I had to pay for tgus app, that would be ok. It would be worth it.

But poorly. I have a droid turbo running 4.4.4 and the shortcut works but every time I press my home key I see my multitask menu for a second. I understand this is the app waiting to recognize a second home key press, but it wasn't always doing this. An official release of this app would be nice. If I get a reply I might donate.

I used this on my Galaxy Note 3, and at first it didn't work. However, after I downloaded Nova Launcher, the shortcuts worked. My guess is that the app doesn't work when you have only a TouchWiz skin. I'm not sure why. Anyway, good job to the developer. A good app, definitely worth a download. I used it to get a Google Now shortcut instead of Samsung's S-Voice.

Works as advertised. I want to use Google Now instead of Samsung's S-Voice, and this seems to do the trick. The only issue I've found so far is that the shortcut works from everywhere except the lock screen. If I could get it to work there too, then I would be a very happy camper.

Good idea, but Scary! On my GS3 it worked great until I did a restart. Then I could not get to the home screen. Pressing HOME just displayed this app. Couldn't even get to settings to remove it until I assigned a key to start app manager to deinstall.

The instructions aren't entirely clear - for Galaxy S3 you do not need to disable the entire S Voice app. What you need to do is disable the home key activation in its settings. Then everything works. If you just disable S Voice, then Home2 Shortcut fails to launch apps. Now everything works great.

Love the ability to not be tied down to the settings of my note 3's buttons. Menu button becomes google now etc. Lately for some reason though it takes multiple attempts to open my redirected apps or just a long time for the to load up.

Just wow. If you do not have this on your Droid, you have been doing everything the hard way. Truly. Until today I had a list of exactly 7 apps with which I cannot live without. This one is number 8. To the developer: You are the definition of genius.

Installed on note 3.decided didn't want it so uninstalled. Bang. My phone crashes and loses mist if my apps resulting in a complete factory reset and massive loss of data. Absolutely bobbins!

This app is great. I was looking for an application which will launch the camera by double tapping the home key. The app itself is cool but when the home key is pressed single time, a black bar appears at the top of the screen. Now thats annoying. So will give it 5 stars when it fixes.

Can you guys just make it a bit more sensitive, it seems to just go when it wants. When I dibble click really fast it doesn't even show on any of the setting from very very fast to very slow, I tend to dibble click fast and I want a fast response which I never get even when it does work. I left it on slow and after I dibble click like 3 times it shows up. So please make it more responsive.

First, I use this on a Stock Note 3 with Android 4.4.2 to allow me to use the home key (double-tap) to trigger Google Now while still using Nova Launcher. Works perfectly for that. One minor, cosmetic issue I have noticed with the later versions of Android is that Home2 Shortcut does not currently support transparent status bars (last updated 2011 as of May 2014). So when I click my home key, my transparent status bar (supported by Nova) turns black briefly before going transparent again. I think this is due to the way Home2 Shortcut works as it is loaded first before triggering your chosen launcher. Minor, but it would be nice to have it fixed. Also, some people have pointed out that using Home2 Shortcut may cause your "normal" launcher from NOT being kept in memory since technically Home2 Shortcut is acting as your initial launcher even though you don't really see it. On lower memory devices, this may cause launcher redraws when you hit your home key. I do not see this on my Note 3.

Double Tap Home still launches Samsung S Voice unless S Voice is disabled in application Settings. Also, when mapping Google Voice Search to double tap home, it instead launches voice dialer. I think it has to do with the way Voice Search is called, since a bluetooth headset behaves similarly when calling Voice Search. Running on my Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G with Android 4.1.2. P.S. It would be nice to have a feedback option where we could send bug reports to vice just putting them into reviews.

This app is essential on all of my devices since manufacturers wont provide it. ** my only gripe is being forced to select a typical "launcher" as my home. I use "lightning drawer" and would love to be able to have it assigned to home. If you would please add this ability I will give 5 stars :] Or I could ask the lightning Dev to add the darn intent to his app but i think others would benefit from this feature in Home2 ;]

I've used this app for years but had to uninstall today. It simply doesn't work with CM Launcher. Each time I'd press the home button, I was prompted to choose a launcher. I chose Home2, but I still got prompted every time. It's useless now. :(

Fresh re-install home2 shortcut from the app store. Redo your settings from before. Then once you've done that. Go to your settings> application manager. Find the s voice app and turn it back on. If it is on, turn it off then back on. Open s voice and skip all the info it gives you. Then hit menu and go to settings in s voice. Uncheck double tap open with s voice. Then go back to settings> application manager and turn off s voice. And it should work. You're welcome!

Stopped working after latest ( 4.4.2) Android update, performed this week on a Samsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720). Was one of my favorites and loved it. Will again, if fixed! HURRY!

It's just really slow sometimes getting to the home page, it clears everything on the page and takes 5 or 10 seconds to load, please fix this. I'm on the galaxy S5. Fix this and I'll give you 5 stars.

I installed this on my Galaxy Note 4, but it does nothing. S-Voice overrules the double tap action you select. (This is on Lollipop.). If it worked, it might be a 4 star app.

It's great and it helps me to start voice recognition app. Anyway, I have reach into my pocket to double press, is there away you can implement it to respond to the 'phone sign button' from bluetooth headset so that I can fire up Utter!? MW600.

Why has the app decided to no longer work? I know I have followed the simple instructions because I've used it before on a different handset. Frustrating

It works great, but for Samsung users, turn off triple click accessibility shortcut, which was why it didn't initially work for me. The triple click messes up double click. The phone is already looking for more than one click so it won't work.

I have an S7E. It works (as long as you turn off the native double click which opens camera). Activates shortcuts which is great, BUT I just don't get the timing aspect of it. In normal mode I have to pace myself, in short or very shot, I just can't get it right. It's too bad, I've been playing around with it for 15 mins now and can't get it right.

Works well except on Lollipop, after reboot, pressing the Home button behaves differently, never taking you to your specific home page but rather just the home screen, this can be corrected by reselecting it as your default home screen launcher. I also wonder if it being the launcher does slow down your actual launcher as I've noticed, on occasion, that my actual launcher does seem to be sluggish, perhaps by lack of memory. Not sure that's this apps fault but it may be something to keep eye on.

Having to change my rating from a 4 to a 2 unfortunately. Since using it several days now I have noticed a wonky issue when you hot the home button where its confused for a split second and opens the keyboard or seemingly closes the app but opens it back up you where just using. Its annoying basically. I got a Nexus 6 and missed the twist camera launch on my Moto X. This app works like a charm giving me a quick double tap on the home soft key to launch camera. It works as good as on an S6 which my wife has.

I had a Verizon Galaxy s4 and used this app to double tap my home button as a shortcut to my camera. It was an easy setup and worked beautifully. Now trying to set this app up on my unlocked Samsung Galaxy s5 was incredibly confusing. You have to go in and change files, the file names on the phone are not the same as the names given in the application instructions. I'm sure there's a way to set this app up properly but i couldn't figure it out. I'm no tech expert but I'm no novice either.

Works with setting up the home button. However your back button freezes whenever it should bring you back to the desktop. Phone hangs until you put it to sleep and wake it up again. You get a function, you loose one. Emailed developer, no response either.

This app is great, since I don't have a dedicated camera button it allows me to quickly access my camera. I only have one request, to have the app be able to lock the phone with the use of the lock button. My lock button recently broke and now I have to use an app from my home screen, so it would be great if I could use a shortcut with my buttons on my phone to lock my device and instead of that app.

Worked perfectly until kitkat 4.4.2 update now does nothing. Such a shame as was a very much used app. Gave five stars due to how much app was used.

Worked amazing on my S4 Active for a year and a half. Now I have an AT&T Galaxy S5 with Lollipop 5.0 and any time I power off my phone and power back on the single Home key press does nothing at all. To get it to work properly, I have to uninstall the app, reinstall it, and then set the settings I want in the app again. Please, fix this!

Basically used this after disabling S Voice to have Google Voice open instead when double pressing the home button and this handles it with no issues.

This is a godsend, lost root during upgrade and this gave me back double tap to go to recents. It sounds small but I found myself performing that motion A LOT! and I couldn't break the habit so I'm glad I found this. 1 weird thing is, Nova launcher shows up as a recent and sometimes a single app will get stuck in recents.

Doesn't work as of android 4.4.4 What doesn't work is double click home button to activate androids native voice search; Even after a fresh install.

This app rectified one of the things I didn't like about my Samsung phone; that cumbersome S-voice. It unfortunately can't over-ride my blue tooth's # Caller ID, but I can live with it since I can still hear both ID's at the same time.
