惠明盲校：重度視覺多重障礙學童
【不是只有盲生】：超過8成的學生，不是一般盲生，而是兼具弱勢、智障、肢障…家庭。
【完全不收學費】：不但不收學雜費，還需付出大於一般學生的高額設備補助與教養費。
【政府支援有限】：每年4000多萬預算只獲900萬補助、因不收註冊費無法申請學生個人助學金…。
【偏鄉小孩照護】：有遠從花東及全省弱勢家庭的小孩，週六日無法返家，需要留守陪同。
【社會安置收留】：某些特殊家庭與政府其他單位無法輔育的保護個案學童，都安置到該校收容。
【特教設備昂貴】：院童使用的特教設備老舊，需要補強與更新卻沒經費。
【弱勢家庭協助】：對於弱勢或單親家庭，也經常需要提供金錢的補助與救援。
【無法聘請警衛】：為節省經費，不設警衛，需要時，還是由老師們輪流擔任。
【到處表演募款】：為籌募款項，需四處表演與募款，非常辛苦！
【盲用電腦昂貴】：無論在校生及畢業生，都需要「盲用電腦」，需求龐大經費。
