Spotcycle for Android
The redesign took this app up another level. The flat design is pleasing, it loads really fast now, and the number of bikes at a dock is now much more obvious. Thank you for making it so much better! Update: The latest version seems to cache the maps, which means it loads faster. Pretty happy with the continued development, it's my personal favorite bikeshare app.
Not refreshing as before to reflect true number of docks and bikes. Was great before. Will increase rating once fixed.
Update deletes available docks in icon. Bad!!
Please implement the feature to show stations that are temporarily not available due to unscheduled outage. Hubway says this feed is provided, this is the official response from Hubway via facebook: "For clarification, the feed is provided. The stations are not marked as off/on for technical difficulties or for temporary station outages, because due to the solar powered nature of the stations that could potentially mean switches many times a day. If a station has an expected outage, it will be switched to an "off" setting, which would be reflected on the map and via apps. You had mentioned the notifications based on stations being turned off and on, and that's why we mentioned letting the app developers know, because that feature does not currently exist on spotcycle or any other apps that we know of."
It says it won't run unless I update Google Play Services, which I can't do and I can't revert to last version of the app, so now I just have an unusable app. Fun.
I use the Capital Bikeshare as one of my main modes of transportation in DC. This app has consistently led me astray when looking for bikes or especially open docks. Since that is the only purpose of this app and it does not fulfill that purpose, I give it one star. If this were to be fixed or the number of inaccuracies more reasonable, this would be a very useful app.
Map is never populated. I've tried many times, waited for updates... Uninstalling UPDATE: Map works again; upgraded my rating to neutral until I try out the new version.
This is a useful app, and I like that I can use it for multiple cities. However, I can never click on any of the stops to get more details, which is infuriating.
Mapping terrible. Useless.
Does not mark stations that are out of service as such.
It displays an incorrect number of bikes actually available
Very convinient
Excellent! Find a bike rack quickly.
Not Street map displayed in Marshmallow 6.1.1, just numbered Red dots on a grey background. Pretty useless really.
Does what it says!
The app shuts down two seconds into opening it on my lg escape 2. Rendering it useless
Out of service docks should not show as available. I'm wasting too much time going from station to station just to find out that the "free" docks don't work
When I checked several months ago, for the first time, the app didn't show any stations in Boston proper. I figured it was a passing fluke, but it's still that way. (I've since gotten a new phone, so it's unlikely to be my device.) As such, currently useless for Boston. Dev says it's a problem with Boston's data feed. If I could give n/a stars I would.
Capitol Bikeshare, DC is my home bikeshare and this works great! I recently went to MN and used niceride, and in order to get it to work there I had to uninstall and reinstall the app. Then had to do it again when I got back home. Should work across all systems without reinstall! I'm on Android.
Needs to connect with user account
So useful and map graphics are the best in a new city. I've Used it in Chicago Boston and Minneapolis extensively.
Application simply indicates where the bikes are located and on what quantity which is great. My only problem with this app is the bike lane road overlay for Toronto is completely out of date and the developers of this app are not keeping it up to date.
Painful app and even worse biking system for which I couldn't imagine a worse design. $7 for the 1st 30 min, a few dollars for the next 1.5 hours then $7 every other 39 mins. Nuts! Confusing costing instructions also. TD should be ashame to have their name attached to it.
Highly accurate! I have been using this app for more than a year and it is great help. Most likely, I would have not signed up for hubway if I didn't discover this app first. My only suggestion would be to add a function for sending feedback about the bikes just rented, e.g. when they need the brakes tuned or some unusual noises may require attention.
I like the app well enough, but the fact that it doesn't remember my last location is a big minus. It always defaults the map to the same location.
Painful UI, and all kinds of problems with map display (the maps don't seem to be cached)
Use it every time I'm in Washington DC. Great for getting around the city by bike.
Just immediately crashes after opening. Now completely useless.
If only it would actually start on my nexus 4...
Map is never populated. I've tried many times, waited for updates... Uninstalling
It literally tries to boot up and crashes within a few seconds every time.
Why can't spotcycle be synched with Hubway?
Crashes instantly
Once you get to the point where the app open directly to map view, and figure out that the little reticle icon will use GPS to find all stations near you, then it works fairly well. In map view I recommend making "avail. Bikes" and "open docks" numbers a different color. I keep forgetting which is on top and I have to tap the little bubble which is a pain when you're on the move.

Consistently displays inaccurate information regarding availability, especially during periods of peak usage.
Love the numbers on the pins themselves. Very easy to read the map.
It's the Most clear, accurate and comprehensive of all the apps. Don't bother with the others
HD icon and widgets are missing. Apart from that it's really the best!

"unable to get directions, try again later". Pain having to use Google maps as well as this due to it's recent inability to plot a route. Boston, Brookline and Cambridge use. Worked fine last year.
