GraphicAudio Access

I really like the graphic audio style of audio book, I've got a lot of the cds and just discovered the digital downloads, which is much better. Unfortunately the app does not remember your position in a story or even let you place a book mark. External controls would also be a good improvement to use headphone or Pebble controls while driving or riding when I listen to most of my audio books. If progress was saved it would make this app much more usable than our is now.

This app fails in every way. You can't make purchases through the app, it opens the online store in your browser. The app will almost never keep your place and will restart every time you open it. Manually returning to where you left off is about as accurate as one of those games of skill in the mall where you can win an iPad -hit the button and you end up just to either side of where you want to be every time. And now the app has started to delete the book I'm on so I have to redownload everyday.

The App is very poorly implemented. The audio is absolutely delicious, the obvious time and effort put in to each production must be absolutely mind boggling and yet their app is bafflingly poor. STILL not way to bookmark the story, STILL no way to stop the app from restarting the audio file if your press pause and then play. I really hope that this is being worked on, it makes it increasingly difficult to enjoy these beautiful stories from where I left off.

I've loved Graphic Audio in CD format, but switching over to digital. But this app is infuriating. Almost every time I play or stop, it resets to the beginning and then it won't let me go back to where I was very easily.

I saw that other reviews pointed out that the app does not bookmark where you are, nor does it give you the option to. But most of those reviews were a couple months old and the devs had replied to some of them. I thought it must be fixed by now. It isnt. Still no bookmarking at all, which I find utterly baffling. It's a known issue regarding what should be a standard feature. Fix it!

I love the audio books that Graphic audio puts out, but this app is crap-tastic. I need to open the app every time to pause or play, if my headphones get pulled out when I plug them back in and hit play the darn book restarts. When comparing this app to the audible and audiobooks apps the only thing that comes to mind is, thoroughly unimpressed. Which a shame because I do enjoy the content very much.

A bookmark feature would be GREAT! how many times am i going to have to find my last timestamp manually? EDIT: Also 5050 chance of the app removing Elantris off of my device! so I have to download Again! and find where I stopped at. this is a Horrendous app. Love the performance of the book.

Needs ability to save externally to MicroSD card. Files are often hundreds of Megabytes, quickly eats up storage. Fortunately, files are also just m4a files and can be easily manually moved. But having direct download to SD would be great.

1 Star for 1 reason. This app does NOT save progress. I have to remember where I was. Having this app save progress was the ONLY reason I downloaded it. Fun facts. 1. I purchased the m4b file, not the mp3. 2. I downloaded the audio book through the app. 3. This app doesn't even allow you to jump to an exact point in time. You have fuddle with the progress bar which is inexact and extremely frustrating. 4. VLC (created by college students back in 1998!!!!!!!!!) also does not store progress BUT it plays my other audio content AND it allows me to jump forward or backward to an exact second!!! This is a review of the app only. The content itself is AMAZING!!! Even if you own the (e)books, hearing it with the music and ambient noise is so different and very fulfilling. It literally is "a movie in your mind".

This app is an embarrassment compared to the product they sell. I love Graphic Audio. It is incredibly well done. Please make the upgrade everyone is asking for. Finding the spot I left off at every morning just isn't cutting it for me anymore.

Needs more features. Graphic audio productions are great but the app needs help. I listen with my Bluetooth ear buds and the play/pause from the ear buds does not work. Really frustrating. If that was fixed I would rate a 4.

Constantly loses my place in the book. Files disappear and need to be re-downloaded. Contacted support. They closed my case with the recommendation that I download my books to my laptop, side load them on the phone, and use a different audiobook player to listen to them. They do not even recommend using their own app. Love the books. The app is crap.

App is terriable won't even start half of the time, just gotten worst over time. Please fix the damn app! I say stick to buying the books from the website, then downloading them to your phone from your computer. Right now this app is just sad.

I like that the app gives me access to all of my Graphic Audio content in one place, but it has a few things needing improvement. The player loses track of where you left off any time the app is closed. The player itself is oriented vertically with a small seek bar, so it's very difficult to seek to a specific point in the recording. They need to add play/pause, skip, rewind controls to the player in the notification tray. This would make it so much easier to use!

Need to work on fast forward and pause, if I pause and restart it starts all over again then it won't allow me to fast forward. Irritating,correction. Now its pissing me off!!!!

Read the reviews and was skeptical. Especially about how it doesn't reserve the spot where the story was left off... But all the problems I read about have been resolved. This app is now perfect. Rewind, fast-forward, pause, and it starts where you last stopped the story. Good job GA

I really love the stories but the app is completely useless. Every time I get a text it restarts the audio. Any notification will reset the story. Wouldn't be that big of a deal if I could just find where I was. But if you touch the seek or playing bar it restarts if you try to fast forward....it restarts. You have to use the 20 second search button to find where you are God forbid if your halfway through it. If your going to use the app turn airplane mode on and don't even touch your phone.

I read the previous reviews, before offering this review. Like others when I renter the app to continue the book, it starts at the beginning again. Sometimes when I try fast forward to the section I left off, it keeps fast forwarding or rewinding if I use the bar at the bottom. Like like other people here in the reviews, I own many cd's and many downloads. This app would be more enjoyable if the issue with restarting over at the beginning and the time it takes to download, even on Wi-Fi.

Hey, your stuff rocks, been buying it for years. Please though, make this app remember previously played positions so that I don't have to keep memorising the position when I quit the app. Surely this can't be too hard to resolve? For an app designed to play back long books, this is pretty fundamental functionality that's missing.

I Love The audio, but like others have mentioned, the app is a piece of .... After buying 3 books I've decided to stay away until they fix the problems with resetting. I have to press pause a lot while working, and having to manually find my place in the book to resume each time is a deal breaker.

I have had similar problems as other reviews everytime I get a notification it starts in different parts of the story then it starts glitching and I have to force stop the app and start the story all over,still not fixed

It's a good app, but you need to fix the problems, your customers have. It keeps crashing every time I log in

I downloaded humble bundle files, but they aren't showing up. How do I listen to them? Thanks

As awesome as the audiobooks themselves are, this app fails completely. 1. The tutorial screen is useless. 2. The app forgets my position in the book. Come on! This is a fundamental failure! 3. The app closes down if I don't use it for a while (which no other app on my phone seems to do, judging by the long list of apps that are open until I reboot). 4. I CANNOT PAUSE AND PLAY WITHOUT OPENING MY KEYLOCK. Seriously? It seem to be the only audio player in the world that doesn't have a shortcut for play and pause. 5. I cannot use the button on my headphone to play and pause. Honestly, this is really bothersome, as it means that if I meet someone at the supermarket I have to fish my phone out of my pocket, open the keylock and hit pause, just to say a quick hallo to an acquaintance. 6. Other audio book appsnstart a little earlier than where you paused, so that you can easily remember the circumstances in the book. On most of them the time is longer if you've paused for a long time, but only a few seconds if you hit pause just minutes ago. This app, of course, does not feature such an option. 7. Why is there a cloud/device option if I can't stream it directly?

The app no longer lets you skip through the story or fast forward and any notification on android restart the story very frustrating once u are 3 hours in and cannot listen to the rest if the story

I have 6.5 GB of free space with my internal memory and 12.4Gb free on SD. Says no room left to download more. Only have 7 books downloaded on my Tablet. Have to keep deleting to download more. Not cool!

Every time my phone gets a notification or phone call the player starts the audio book from the beginning have the new LG v20

I have paid for several and cannot get to them Today !! Graphic audio has stopped that's all I get

App frequently loses your downloaded content or jumps to the start of your four hour recording when you hit Play. Would prefer a native app with less emphasis on appearance and more on correct behavior.

I've been having a problem with the books restarting and loosing my place when I open the app

This app is horrific. Worst audio player in history.

Transferred all my cd cases into downloads with the $5 a title deal, was able to get the 80+ cd cases outta my truck. App seems to be bookmarking great and runs smooth. Would only ask for the ability to set up multiple downloads or a multiple queue for downloads from cloud to device instead of 1 at a time.

IT STILL DON'T REMEMBER WHERE YOU LEFT OFF IN THE BOOK. Don't misunderstand me the books are well done. But the app is not...I'm beginning to feel like graphicaudio don't care how there customers feel. The app is awful. I see no difference from the last version to this one.

The app has completely stopped working and everything I had on my phone is gone what a waste of data , was listening to a book and it just stopped and now can't get in the app Try downloading it again still want work y'all need to fix this crap I'm sick of it

App does not keep track of your spot on a book making it extremely annoying and almost useless.

Pretty basic app but it gives cloud access to my books. Wish it had a option to put my books in my music library. That way i can use my music player natively instead of needing to go through the file manager each time.

Downloading seems to work a lot better now, no more cutting in and out. Playback is fine. This app still needs a lot of improvement, a sleep timer would earn it 4 stars from me.

This blows audible away! The whole concept is mind blowing. The experience is like a movie in your mind.
