About Bicycle Tire Pressure Demo

The Bicycle Tire Pressure Calculator is used to compute the optimal air pressure for your bicycle tires. Tires pumped too hard bounce down the road like a basketball, wasting energy. Tires pumped not hard enough are sluggish and prone to pinch flats. Tires pumped just right are at the optimal intersection of responsiveness, shock absorption, and energy efficiency.

Popular misconception is to pump a bike's tires to the highest number printed on the sidewall by the manufacturer. Instead, the optimal pressure is that which yields in a 15% sidewall drop. Sidewall drop is a non-linear function of the load on the tire and its width. It can be computed based on the weight of the bike, rider, bags, and gear. It is also different between front and back, depending on the frame geometry.

With this App, you can instantly compute the optimal tire pressure from your phone or tablet wherever you may be: in your garage, on the road, at a friend's house.

Features:
* Enter weights in pounds or kilograms
* Calculate pressures in PSI or bar
* Tire widths from 19 to 60 mm; diameters of 26", 650B, and 700C; 4 of the most typical frame geometries
* Configure and save two bikes (unlimited bikes on paid version)
* Tap bike graphic to recalculate pressures

Can't install latest update.... play store giving an error code(505). I used the demo for a while then tried premium then when back. Demo was really all I needed. Though the ability to add a custom weight distribution would be good

Y70%
by Y####:

The app doesn't differentiate between classic road and modern racer geometries.

Y70%
by Y####:

Good app, but doesn't have my bike style, which is very common. Can't install the latest update. I just use it as a guide.

Y70%
by Y####:

Latest update will not install, error 24, and resets my data each time it tries to update.

Isn't updating as I change the weight. S5 with Marshmallow.

Error 505 installing

Comically misguided numbers. Just look at the samples in the Read More section.

It works. But I would prefer to have an option to change front and rear wheel load ratio manually. Also it's not very clear what the front and rear load fields do in the app

I'm a 70kg rider with 32mm touring tyres and the app recommends 35psi. That low pressure will cause serious problems and countless of flats on the road. AVOID THIS APP.

Fantastic app. I own several disciplines of bikes and some with specific tires. This app has helped me a great deal on determining proper pressure for the conditions and my style of riding.

257 psi? Hahaha. Need a new algorithm.

I've been using the values off this app for 2014 with great success. There are preset bike profiles that take your weight and the bike's to determine the front/back values or enter your own front/rear weight. This seems to let almost anyone on any bike with any tire size calculate pressure. If you find the pressures are too low or high for your specific tire you may need to change your tire size or use common sense if using pressures above or below manufacturer's spec.

max for contis 4000s II 120psi. app says 137 rear 87 front.

This worked fine for me. I tried different tires and geometries snd it gave sensible results. I will buy the full version.
