EdiRange is a mobile companion app for Edimax smart Wi-Fi Extenders. Smart extenders help to solve Wi-Fi problems and extend wireless coverage to dead zones that your existing signal can’t reach.

Issues setting off times just does not seem to work. Set daylight saving etc but can you see what time the repeater thinks it is? No. Apart from that and the scheduled times being a main reason for getting it it works well. *update* all working now it seems it shipped with old firmware but now on 1.32 and works perfectly. Can get updated firmware from website and install from the computer browser. Easy.

The devices works as expected, using the basic functions. The extra features like guest network, sleep and scheduled timers are a bit of a mystery though. Setting the current time from the app would be helpful. Clearly define on/off times during schedule and better state the sleep will start for X hours now or will happen in X hours indefinitely. Parental wifi isn't explained or able to be monitored from the app. New permission requires phone number/ID - why?

Well, the app does its job most of the time! If it did it all of the time I'd give another star. Issues with inaccurate info in regards to it not picking up signals. And I don't like that the latest update is asking for call information.

I have been using this extender for years. Works great and never loses its connection. And remembers its assigned SSID. Phone app works well too. Remember to connect your wifi device to the extender ssid before using app wizard.

App doesn't crash on parental control provided you connect to the extender SSID in your phone's WiFi settings first, parental control badly named, It just turns Internet on or off. Shows what channels other nearby WiFi networks are using. Allows you to toggle guest network from your mobile. Other than that doesn't really do much.
