Edgars SmartApp for Android
Looking for product information in an Edgars Store has never been easier. Simply type in the barcode or use our built in scanning system which leverages your camera to automatically scan and decipher the barcode. We will find the product, what the latest price is, how many items are available in your favourite or nearby stores with the corresponding stock levels.
**Order Products
You can rapidly order any product you have scanned and deliver it directly to your favourite store. Login with your Edgars account details, pick your favourite store, choose the products you wish to order and you’re done. Those products will be delivered to your favourite store to pick up at your earliest convenience.
**Find Variants
To alleviate the frustrations of not being able to get your hands on an out of stock item Edgars SmartApp Variants enable you to find any alternative size for any scanned product. Say the stunning jeans you want are too small and the size that will fit is out of stock. This would be a major problem before but now just scan smaller jeans and with variants you will have an option to select the alternative size you want. Once selected you will be displayed product information, stock availability at nearby stores, with the option to order it to your favourite store to pick up later.
**Check Balance
One of the biggest desires for Edgars account holders, is to check your current balance in real time. This is now possible to do with Edgars SmartApp. Log in and you can immediately view your current balance, credit limit and available spend amount. Also included is your instalment amount to make things even easier.
***Find Store
You can easily pinpoint the closest Edgars Store to your current location. Alternatively if you are looking for something more specific, you will be able find any Edgars Store in the country, their address and phone number. If you need a little extra help you can view the store on a map and even get directions from anywhere you are to an Edgars doorstep.
**Like on Facebook
With our seamless Facebook integration, you can now share with all your friends the exciting new purchase you have just made, get opinions on items you are thinking of buying or just to let them know which Edgars Stores you love to shop at. With Edgars SmartApp you can connect to the world with a push of a button.

You can now check how many Thank U points you have accumulated with our new Thank U rewards program.

Hi guys there is something wrong. went to register and then was successful and the went to see account details and then not successful.
What's the use of this app if your balance is never reflected correctly and never updated? Worst app ever.
Its stupid enough that the company does not send me any statements every month so i tought having the app would make life so much easy, but nooooo! It is showing the wrong info, i have to go store to just find out how much I need to pay. Waste of time
The app is never correct with my balance and also stops working so I cannot check anything on the app. Edgars just remove the app from the app store if you are not going to improve on it.
After so called registration am told no "account validated online".. Surprisingly u cant even validate your account on the app after registration???? So whats point of" registration" if u cant complete whole process on the app itself.. Worse l went to feedback section of the app and wasnt surprised that l couldn't even send feedback despite filling all the required fields.. My rating is 0...
I cannot register or login in order to check my balance or do anything
Like really. Have an account but everything comes up as R0. How's that going to help. Does anyone even check the feedback being sent? If I send feedback via the app, there's no way I know if it's sent cos the page doesn't send out an acknowledgement. Really, the IT guys that created this app, are crap. Edgars requires a full refund of whatever payment was made to them for creating this app. Disappointing
Balances reflects R0. No use for this app...to be frank I have no use for an Edgars account anymore as well. I agree what a previous user reflected...please copy the TFG app. A waste of data and time! Immediate uninstall.
Od give it no stars if i could! Downloaded the app and thought it would be great. Big mistake!!! It doesn't show me anything. It doesn't pick up my account. Nothing!! Bloody pathetic
Gives a balances for everything but thank you points. Also shows in pounds. Would give no stars if possible. Come on Edgars, this is a digital age. Get it right!
I have forever tried to log in and I can never make it happen. Always says I have the wrong email or password. when it is what I use for the website. Don't get it. Its a big waste!!!
App totally not user friendly, you can check the App from Spree , our lives have been made simple. You are wasting our data by uploading this. Please get competent people to create the app for you..
This is the worst app ever. Now it shows my balance for a month ago. Does not update the account info

Thank you points on the app reflect as zero when there is a balance. The installment and differs to the actual. The Submit Feedback button on the app does not work.
Just copy what TFG has. Most important for me is to check statement, make payments and check how much is due for next month. Thats it! No need to find out where shops are located, I know theres edcon family of shops in every next mall around. No need for online shopping before u can manage the basix. On the next atempt try improving graphics and look and feel. Current look is extremely boring. Remove it from market.
I can view my statements online. The app keeps giving me an error that email or password are incorrect which they not! Removing it off my phone immediately.
I can not even register! And who has login in Settings! Worst app ever. I can't even use their website cause it requires an id number which I do not have. The app is worse. Usability =0 accessed the app again. At least I can register. Woo. But website and mobile app are not synchronised! Imagine that. Still useless
Why even bother with an app when your website is so terrible. It's in such a state, even Jet store's website is better. We wanna buy online, why can't south African retailers just catch up? Its darn frustrating.
Dont waste data on downloading it. Thought it would be as effective as Woolies and TGF apps. But no. It doesnt even pick up my account and often telling my my correct password is incorrect. Does not work at all. Nothing of it works.
Despite registering, I still can't see my balance, or anything for that matter. ;(
I have all the apps for my accounts and this is by far the worst.
Waste of download time. Register. OK. Login. Successful. Account not validated. No meaningful details of error message. And no way to validate or update account number. In a world where people create innovation by harnessing technology. All you've done is bought the technology. Without the innovation, design and quality assurance. Epic fail. Keep trying while your competitors are MILES ahead.
It does not link to the website database. Had to reregister and continuously getting account not linked error.

Can't log in after I register. Even your website is useless as I can't link my thank u card to my account. I expected much more from you Edgars!!!
I have tried multiple times to reset my password via website and the app but nothing happens. Tried call Edcon for support select prompts and it cuts me off every time. CAN SOMEONE GET BACK TO ME WITH A CONTACT EMAIL/NUMBER THAT WORKS!

Been able to log on for the past couple of months. All of a sudden, when I try to log on to check my balance_ app says "invalid email/password". What the? I haven't changed my log in details or changed numbers/ phone. This is odd!!

Cant log into my account on this app.... Its been over 4 months now.Wonder why the technical team does fix this cos clearly I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.
I've reported my log in error more than a month ago and still not resolved. It is currently with the programmer to see why!? If Edcon would start reading the complaints and update the app (November 2013 last) the maybe we could actually enjoy the amazing features!
What a useless piece of software. First, at login it asks for email address and password. I know my details are right, and it can't log me in! Then, I go to the website and login using my username--not my email address. So, I decide to enter my username as email address to login to the app, and voila!, it works! This app really does nothing apart from providing tel numbers of stores. Quite pathetic! I am going to uninstall it now!
Zero star it does not give any details of the account. Only the amounts of points, no balance, no installment.... You might as well remove it.
Has potential to be great app, to aid both the company and the customer. But after waiting a few months, I redownloaded it, still no info, no credit, no points. Same bugs. Perhaps app should be looked at again.
Account currency in GBP. Amount on app and statement not even close. Need to fix this
