Each month, the best business, finance and technology articles from the weekly publication are selected and translated, and delivered to your mobile device with an intuitive and attractive user interface. Can anyone understand that a news application needs permission to make calls from my telephone? And to manage my telephone calls? Sounds like a joke. But isn't it weird that of all the apps by The Economist, this -in Chinese- is the only one that requires that permission?

This app refuses to work unless you give it permission to access the phone and make phone calls. Anyone who agrees to that level of intrusion belongs in a sanitarium.

In depth analysis, broad subject. Great content. But the app itself is almost a disaster. The touch translation is too sensitive. Everytime i scroll down, it will translate. The index of month is off. It shows November but it is actually an issue for December. Sometimes it crashes at startup. We cannot disable the notification? Please add that! It has been freaking annoying.

I am a paid subscriber. App is unstable & crash easily. The new version app even wants to manage my phone call! Its translation is poor, often confuse me and need to re-read the English version. App technical support service is very bad, do not use the "send report" function from the App. Because no one will ever get back to you. I've called customer service in Hong Kong to fix the App since end of Aug 2016, but still not fixed.

I liked the content. Translation is literal, sentence to sentence, thus great for those at basic to intermediate wanting to build vocabulary. I paid for subscription and had problems logging in to read the content. The response from economist was slow and didn't resolve the issue. Asked for a refund.

After summit the error report to GBR, it fixes the abruptly shutting down when users click My favorite. Perfect!
