Had some trouble initially trying to sign into my university - as the sign-in screen is basically a glorified web browser, the cache/cookies ran into and issue and I wasn't able to continue until I force quit the app and restarted it. The app itself works quite well! I appreciate the ability to save lectures for offline viewing (main reason I got the app). I also like that you can exit out of the app and audio continues to play. This leads me into my first suggestion: the app needs notification controls! There's no way to pause audio from the lockscreen - even pressing the notification does nothing, where it should at least open the app, right? Another suggestion: Chromecast support would be nice to have eventually, so that I can cast a video or audio to my tv and take notes from there

Wish my lecturers had told me about this instead of me stumbling across it. Works great compared to watching lectures on mobile in browser

Why does it not work in Australia? It says it can't find my institution with my email

by Q####:

Could not find my institution (UWA) despite them using the echo system. Do not recommend.

Doesn't work at all

The app worked just fine, but has absolute minimal capabilities.

It would be great if this could run while you're doing other things. If you answer a text the app stops. If you're working out and you accidentally shut the screen off the app stops. Overall the whole concept is excellent but it would be more valuable if it would allow you to minimize as opposed to on/off only. Thanks.

When I try to record, my video always gets cut off short - after about 2 minutes. It's not my phone, since I can record long video otherwise. Is there a limit to the video length when using this app to record and upload to echo360?

Some of my files have a green and black cable type picture on them and I am unable to access them ...why ?

Nice to have the classroom on the go!

Just missing the ability to change speeds which is rather important for cramming students. Also might want to consider adding a download function (limited to a few videos at a time) for offline usage.

Annoying you can't answer in class questions with the app.

Once it installs the app asks you to log in, to which I try to use my school sign in info. It tells me I need to register with echo360...ok fine BUT WHERE?!?! App gives no place to register. Try Googling the website, there is no where to register only info about how great echo360 is...not user friendly on android and no one wants to email or call your rep just to register. Guess I'll just have to fire up my laptop to get around using the app

Needs to be able to run in the background. Fairly fundemental weakness given its purpose

T70%
by T####:

It would automatically refresh unpredictably I would have to go back to the list of lectures and play it again from the beginning. If I would want to fast-forward to where it dropped it would refresh again...it takes you 3 minutes to play again once it refreshes the entire page which happens very frequently. Wastes sooooooo much time

But please look into including speed options for video playback just like on your website!

We use ech360 at uni, but I can't sign in to the app. Unfortunately of no use
