Swift Card for Android
Every time I go through the procedure to register on my phone I get the message "You are unable to register, go to NX which will allow to top up". No it doesn't because I end up back at the same place. I did have contact from Martin at Swift via email but that was 13 days ago, he must be busy. A long overdue idea/concept but Its not working.
App is okay, logo is awful. Looks like a dagger or the edge of a blade. Badly thought out and probably cost a fortune to change it.
Easy to use and works great on Samsung Galaxy S6.
App can take ages to update. I am sick to death of having to use this app. I dont want to have to keep going to a main bus station to update my credit! Update it on the bus reader! How about one swift card that is fully flexible to add your desired product, ie monthly or payg, or the lots of daysavers? Be nice not not to have loads of cards floating around. Also how about a joined up system for swift and the different operators?
This has left me stuck a few times - I don't normally keep much change so thought this would be great as an occasional bus user. I topped up online & was embarrassed when it wasn't accepted on the bus and the helpline told me I had to use this app to activate the topup or the nearest loader, 45min walk from my house! I also have an iPhone so was shocked it was Android only for such a big network. The app will not load my purchase, always complains about network connectivity on full wifi!! Disgusting!
Not only you can't purchase but charging the products and tickets bought on the website only works once in a blue moon! Been trying to charge my £40 on it for half an hour and kept having error messages. Finally gave up and had to find change to not be late for work. Useless app. Seriously NXWM, do better.
Useless and oh so backward. One can't even purchase top ups from the app, and to use an update involves what appears to be as complicated as a masonic ritual, and then it doesn't even work. I am unsure why top ups cannot be applied automatically, why they can't be purchased through the app, and why the convoluted top up process in place does not work. This system is in alpha and it shows.
Bugfix & branding? Explain the new permissions. Edit: thanks for the reply, but which part of my comment did you not understand? Please explain why fixing bugs and chsnging the logo requires NEW PERMISSIONS. Ok, I'll try and help here: it doesn't. Subtext: what else have you done, beyond bug fix & rebrand, which does require reading SD card permission?
Doesn't work on a Google phone. In order to top up my swift card I have to get a journey into town on a bus and pay with cash. The system is a joke. Why can't they just accept android pay, iPhone pay and debit cards with NFC on buses. It's the same technology but actually works. I bet this swift card system costs a fortune to implement and it's poor.
Works fine, not the prettiest and could do with the ability to buy tickets in app. But after paying through a browser easily lets me add the top up to my card. Very handy when I only remember whilst walking to the tram stop.
Spent nearly a week trying to use this app with different phones pc's and tablets. Rubbish
Dont really know what to use this app for. Very basic for such a big network. And can't even top up my card.
The all doesn't read my card at all, which is very frustrating, as I don't live anywhere near anywhere that I can update it! I don't normally have any trouble with using nfc on my phone, so I'm pretty sure that the problem is with the app...
Downloaded to top up for the first time, didnt even try to work was awful, missed my plans i had pre booked tickets for the lot. Phoned the helpline and got told nothing else can do no refund for 21-24 days. Pile of crap do not bother less stress trying to find change
It works for me, very simple, does the job. It would make sense to add the capacity to purchase a top up as well as 'activate' a top up, and also perhaps to integrate this functionality with the Network WM route finder app
Doesn't work follow all tips in so called 'help' section still nothing so I forge ahead and try to buy a top up through the my account link in app only to be asked for the swift card number multiple times to then be told that although my swift card says swift card on it I have to apparently go to the west midlands travel site to top up... Seriously this app is less than useless, frustrating and to be honest far less than what I was expecting (which was already low expectations) if I could give 0 I would
Why is this app not working on iPhones as the majority are using iPhones I was using this app on my android phone before going back to iPhone and I love it makes everything simple for me but now I can't get it on my iphone please try and fix this problem THANKS
App works ok. But trying to top 5up is ridiculous and almost even impossible.
Great app works reliably although the whole top up process is a bit clunky. Please add the ability to top up from within the app rather than having to go the website.
Unfortunately I cannot update the credit on my card with this app. I now have to take it to a shop, which isn't that convenient.
Ive brought my bus pass but it wont let me load and yes i have the latest my nearest swift box is far from my house and im a athsmatic so the walk is going to be much whats the point having a app that dosent do what its suppossed to
The description is wrong though - you can also use it for trains.
Useless. Does not work. Says I can't renew my monthly nbus card and I need to go to National Express website to do it. I go there and it says to buy it with this app. Ridiculous
The app keeps telling me that my NFC is disabled, I've turned it on now but still says it, I've tried to uninstall it and install it again, but keeps saying the same thing
App wont upload credit or even have update button on it. Waste of time
This app does not work on My HTC 10. Works with my partner's Samsung S7 but my HTC doesn't detect the card...
Just shows balance, can't even top via it!
It's soo useless, don't know who the developers are but they have lots of work to do on this app
Just tried it for the first time on my Samsung Galaxy S6, works flawlessly and within a minute had already updated and downloaded new credit.
Why does this app need access to media, photos and files? I will alter the review when I finally get my card after almost a year waiting for DD customers to be transferred to these.
App is extremely simple and works 100% both with reading the care and updating it with new purchases. Using a galaxy s6 edge +

NFC activated on phone but Swiftcard not talking to phone - rubbish!

Really easy to use, literally took a few seconds for the update to be transferred onto the card using this app
Used to work but know on my new phone moto z don't work on s7 it did
It's a lifesaver, no more last minute trips to the station. Does the job.
It never updates after you pay this app needs to be fixed.

: hate the new logo!.. installed app,turned on nfc.Just make sure card is held to rear of phone as you check for updates. Showed my online purchased tickets along with expiry date.So for me it was fine.EDIT- hate the new logo!!
