3 Axis Magnetic Field Monitor

This program gives a reading in milliGauss (mG) of the magnetic field readings in each of the 3 axis (X,Y & Z) from the magnetometer in your phone from zero to 20,000 mG in five ranges.

The top number is the highest reading of the three axes.

The three bar graphs show each axis separately. A green graph indicates a positive (+) reading for that axis and a red graph indicates a negative (-) reading for that axis.

The graph line displays the relative values of all three axes in real-time. The X values are in red, the Y in green and the Z in blue. The speed of the graph as as well as the numerical displays will depend on the performance of your individual device.

The program defaults to AutoRange when started and will select a range for the bar graphs based on the axis with the highest reading. The line graph defaults to displaying +20000 to -20000 mG when Auto Range is selected. If a specific range is manually selected, the line graph display will change accordingly; i.e. if the 1000 mG range is selected, the line graphs will display +1000 to -1000 mG, with the graph center line representing 0 mG, much like an oscilloscope display.


Note: Selecting a low range and effectively "overloading" any of the graphs will not cause damage to your phone.

If the app fails due to your device not supporting the magnetic sensor hardware, please don't give me a negative review! I try very hard to test my software before it is released and I am a single developer.
