The texts within the app are written in German. However it is easy to understand and therefore also usable for speakers of other languages!
Using coloured stripes the user can calculate the value of a resistor. If certain rings are selected the temperature coefficient and the tolerance will be shown. As a standard tolerance 20% was chosen and will be displayed as far as the user does not select anything. In addition information will be provided to tell whether the calculated value exists in the selected preferred series.
The pages where the operater can calculate high- and low-passes are constructed equally and provide the same functionalities. The user can enter a limiting frequency and can compute the corresponing resitor value. It is possible to modifiy the value of the capacitor used for the calculation. A default value will be used if no customized number is entered. At the end of the page a resistor with coloured stripes will be created depending on the calculated number.
Each page has an information button which provides additional data.

Die Textinhalte der App sind in Deutsch verfasst. Da sie jedoch leicht verständlich ist, ist die Verwendung auch für Anderssprachige geeignet!
Anhand von Farbringen kann der Wert eines Widerstands berechnet werden. Außerdem werden, sofern die entsprechenden Ringe ausgewählt wurden, der Temperaturkoeffizient sowie die Toleranz ausgegeben. Als Standardwert für die Toleranz wird stets 20% angegeben, sofern der Nutzer keine eigene Einstellung vorgenommen hat. Zusätzlich wird eine Auskunft darüber erteilt, ob der berechnete Wert in der, zum Widerstand gehörenden, E-Reihe vorhanden ist.
Die Seiten zur Berechnung des Hoch- und Tiefpasses sind gleich aufgebaut und bieten dem Nutzer somit die gleichen Funktionalitäten. Hier kann der Nutzer eine Grenzfrequenz eingeben und sich den daraus resultierenden Widerstandswert berechnen lassen. Es ist zusätzlich möglich den Kondensatorwert, welcher für die Berechnung genutzt wird, selbst zu bestimmen. Nimmt man diese Option nicht wahr, wird ein Standardwert verwendet. Der errechnete Widerstand wird zuletzt am Ende der Seite mittels Farbkodierung angezeigt. Hier kann der Nutzer die E-Reihe einstellen und, nach erneuter Berechnung, den neuen Wert ablesen.

The text contents of the app are written in German. However, since it is easy to understand, the use is also suitable as a foreign language!
Using color rings of the value of a resistor can be calculated. Moreover, the temperature coefficient and tolerance, provided that the corresponding rings were selected output.
