Ebook Reader

I wrote in early july and still no answer. I had a book which suddenly wouldn't open anymore. I tried downloading it again. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Now the book is readable but cannot hild my place and doesn't have working links to move around the book. I've tried emailing you and now try resorting to public shaming, but apparently to no avail. I've bought a few dozen books from you - but not lately. Any chance of getting some service???

Nice simple epub reader. The app has improved a lot since the earlier versions and it's rare to have a problem with it now. Easy integration with their store means you'll find and download virtually any book, almost too easy, I've spent hundreds of euros on ebooks.

So frustrating. App seems to lose my place in book each time it is closed. Defaults back to the same place each time. Not to mention the crappy DRM on PCs. Abobe are terrible at DRM. Release a HTML5 reader like Amazon. So feed up with this reader in going to have to strip the DRM so I can read it the Kindle app. Sigh

The new version of this App has made reading so boring!!! It is a pity because this really used to be such a good one. Not inspired anymore to buy books from their store as reading them will be so painful in this App

Just not working - won't download books in my account, just hangs with spinning circle; and loses preferences and where you are in book. Could put up with the lack of finesse compared to other apps but not the vasic lack of functionality. I can't read the books I have purchased, therefore the app couldn't be worse.

It was a good reader before the update. I usually read PDF and some of the books i download cannot be opened by this reader, while other pdf readers have no trouble opening them. There were 3 - 5 books like that in total but after the update literally half of the healthy PDF files cant be opened. And the design looks so half assed why bother.

the new update killed the beauty in this app, background whie no customization, keeps making the book sorting on its default forgetting my preferrence, the night mood is hidden I have 2 search 4 it. this is not an update, it is down all the way, I hate it.

This is the worse app I've ever used every time i want to go back to reading i have to spend 15 minutes looking for where i left off. The low price of the books is just not worth the irritation

Been using it for a long time. The wooden bookshelf skin was better. Now it just feels clinical. Please bring it back or at least add an option to change the entire theme of the app. More customization options needed. Edit: Looking forward to the update with alternative wooden bookshelf theme.

I'm so disappointed. I have over a hundred books in my sd card but this app only synced 9 books and it keeps freezing every time I try to manually add the book I want to start reading :(. Instant uninstall.

Have Google books etc but they've not as much choice has you my thing is autobiography at mo but wish you had more settings for change size letters and turn the words orange at night time etc really lets it down.was EE who offered me a free book w a link to your delightful named e~reader hope you'll update soon as see few reviews complaining it was better? Look forward to seeing changes I'd like to g more * then as choice is there!!

can't use the settings, always resets to a previous place in the book, controls not accessible except randomly... very disappointed

Hi, i was advised there was going to be an update to ebook reader to fix an issue with deleting books not wanted. I have not as yet seen this update. I keep deleting books that appear automatically next time i use the reader. Chris

The update was a disaster. The pagination and percentage completion are not working, showing values of 10500.00%. please do something to bring the good functionality back.

I didn't want the "sample" books, so I deleted them, but every time I open the app, they come back. Other than that it's great, but that is quite annoying.

I do not like scrolling LEFT/RIGHT to read the pages of my ebooks. I prefer scrolling DOWN and UP to read the ebooks. Please find something to do about that immediately. That's the only reason I dislike this app.

Interface was klunky to start with and then wiped out the book altogether. Search fails, preferences don't get saved and many other annoyances

A balanced reader, useful for class readings, should they be made available in epub format. Functional, yet available for enjoyment of texts on one's own. Not the best reader I have ever used, but certainly far above average.

Great app. Gives you the freedom of importing in books from our device. But a let down is the orientation and format is not kept when we're import it.

The rating decrease because i keep deleting the prepacked book and it keep coming back. U trying to force me to read those? Otherwise it is awesome. Though if i could search word meaning. Better

An app that every book lover should have. It doesn't leave you wanting for any book and has a variety of classic and new era books

I've actually been using this app for years, it's always been reliable and easy to use. The new update seems to have brought with it some new issues, though whether these are just "growing pains", or reflect a turn towards lower quality product remains to be seen. My main issues are as follows. 1) With certain titles (bearing in mind that I've read these books using this app before), the text will sometimes zoom in beyond what is reasonable (and lock in to this zoom level), so that a few words fill the screen. This seems to happen on epubs, and is only fixed (temporarily) when I remove the title from the shelf, and then re-import it. This fix is, as I said, temporary, and after a chapter or two, the text explodes to giant proportions again. 2) Occasionally when I import a title, there seems to be some error where all of the page and chapter numbers are missing, creating one giant running chapter. I wouldn't really mind this, but the app does not save my page when this happens, and digging through the entire book without the benefit of chapter or page numbers to find my place is tedious. 3) I don't especially care for the new bookshelf interface. It appears too plain, the white background gives an air of low quality and with no option to change it, it actually strains my eyes quite a bit when I open the app at night. I hope these issues can be addressed. Thank you for your time, and for a free app that is actually ad free.

Purchased first book, downloaded and read no problem, purchased second book, had difficulty downloading but got there in the end, purchased third book over two weeks ago and still can not open it, sent numerous tickets and emailed site directly but still no response. My advice, AVOID THIS APP. Reply, did as you requested but surprise surprise all I get is error messages, no wonder you never get tickets. These reviews are the only avenue of contact you respond to, try invoice 7255869 for my details, send my money back and then close my account. Still waiting for a reply 13/08/2017. It's now the 18/08/2017 and despite trying all avenues of contact with ebook reader again I still have not received any response. DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS SERVICE.

Today I'd to uninstall the app, is sad because I used it for years and this was an amazing app until the update, after it the app was terrible.

This app is pathetic. Always bugs and now with the new update all I get is a black screen

I like the app but some of my books aren't showing how pages there are and what page im on plz update that i can see how pages there are on all of my ebooks coz i like to whare im at and how left to go.

I have tried contacting you but the system keeps blocking me. I have a concern. What is my best option to receive an answer?

Not bad. Would be nice if it also read the books so you could use earbuds like FBReader with TTS plug-in does. Even so, I like it.

Everytime I open the app now "new" books are added to my library. I delete them and more appear next time. Please tell me how to stop that from happening. It's annoying.

It'd be nice if you could disable page turning animation, add page numbers to the "content" panel, make all menus dark while in night mode and add a read aloud option and a look up word function.

I don't understand how to use this. Why isn't there a button to take u back to the contents page? You have to flip all the way back through the book

I downloaded a book from the same app I download my other books from but my reader starts hanging and messing up. It has to be fixed pronto.

When I got this, I didn't realize I would have to pay for the actual books!!!

As I am reading my books, the page drifts across the screen so the left most words on the page become unreadable.

I've been using this app for a few years and its been great... until the new update, it will not save where I am and every time I open a book it puts me back to the same chapter every time no matter what I do

Totally screwed up after installing latest version. Book always starts from page 1, the store is useless. Miss the older version

Kind of annoying my page wouldn't centre properly so I got the first letters cut off of the first sentences

Page as gone off centre so misses first few letters of each line. Samsung S7
