About Connect Mobile Capture
Connect Mobile Capture™ (CMC) is an integrated smart-application that allows drivers to submit trip, delivery, safety documents and driver documents from the point of service using their mobile device. Once submitted, documents are optimized for image quality and automatically entered into the billing and settlement workflow and other business centric processes based on your business rules.
Included with the App is the Learning Management Tutorial that is a self-guided tutorial that educates the driver on the features and functionality of the application prior its use. Now drivers will be familiar with the application before launching it for the first time. Also drivers will have access to the CMC-Driver Portal via your company website. The Driver Portal will becomes the driver’s automated personal assistant. It keeps the driver informed of needed documents and cut-off or expiration deadlines along with pending and final settlement information. The assistant will monitor the images received and alert the driver to missing or late documents or to re-image documents that failed quality audits. The Connect Mobile Capture solution can be configured to capture various documents such as OS&D or compliance documents including CDL, insurance and DVIR. SHIPS CMC Mobile Solution release 2.1.0 has added the Capture Wizard Feature.
The Capture Wizard calculates both the distance from the document and the angle at which the driver is holding the capture device. If either of these are out of “best practice” standards, the driver will be provided an interface alert message and the application will automatically revert to the capture interface so the driver can re-capture the image.

App is about the least intuitive scanner app out there. Failing to update trips in their user interface. Camera capture is TERRIBLE quality compared to CamScanner. Hard to get app to focus compare to CamScanner or TinyScan. Auto crop feature is useless and takes for ever to manual crop compared to other apps. Even putting a background of a folder behind bills that is a dark color doesn't help the auto crop. Cannot scan in color which is important to me as I usually mark refused/damages in Red pen so they are noticed. I see the point of why offices like it as it essentially does the billing depts. job BUT this app needs a lot more tweaking to be very useful from a driver/OO standpoint. Pros- If it works the way it should trips should show up and you can go through the checklist and make sur.e all documents are captured Makes billing Dept. life easier CONS- Trips not updating in user interface as they allegedly should terrible image quality Auto crop doesn't work No color option I could find Time consuming on multi stop/multi BOL loads ADVICE FOR DEVELOPER Buy out CamScanner, use their image capture/scan suite and programming. Fix so interface actually updates on phone from office. Do that and this program would be the best out there by far for drivers QUESTION Can I scan multi BOL without needing to go back to original starting point in the trip menu that lists all other document scan options? If not, make that happen. Before developer blames image capture issues on phone/camera quality I'm using a Motarola Z Force with the built in 21MP camera with light adjustment, as far as I know there are not many better built in phone camera's, but I could be wrong.

Regardless of what specifically needs to be sent it is very intuitive. Easy to understand document classification and capture. Simple transmission.
