EatSleepRIDE Motorcycle GPS for Android
Could not complete setup. Wanted to bypass battery management and run all the time. Last thing I want is a background app killing my battery
I only wanted crashlight. Instead I get a clunky Instagram wannabe. Please release just a crash light app.
No joke. This is the best, most comprehensive motorcycle app out there. Feedback from users is always considered for new versions.
Could not get past create account if it's that hard I can't imagine what the rest is like
Lousy and inaccurate distance tracking
Can't find any routs other than what's near me. Looks like this app is build around crash function to sell you the option. Will use it to see if it's useful.
Tried to make an account on my galaxy S8 won't even get past the login screen keeps saying logged in and nothing else
Won't let me create an account with Samsung Galaxy S8. I wish I could!
Won't open on my Pixel.
Perfect for riders
Just trying ths app. Only a few weeks in but so far so good. Takes a little to navigate. Can't put on a bike unless there is a pic. Would be nice to have the option to pick a bike from my list at the start of recording a trip.
Lost over 1800 kms last week riding Nova Scotia. App kept crashing on my Samsung S7. Unreliable and very frustrating! Nothing saved. Was trying to participate in th HD challenge.
After update, just continues asking to stop optimizing battery. App has now become unusable.
App won't run on my Samsung S7. It starts then fails and shuts down.
Galaxy S7... it won't run. Crashes on launch every time.
Won't even open on my Samsung galaxy S5 T-mobile phone.
Won't run on my Samsung s7 on Verizon
App won't open on samsung galaxy s7
Been looking for an app that would let me record my rides to a map, and this certainly works for that. Would like to see an option added to pause and resume a ride recording. Only issue I've seen is that not all recorded and saved rides get added in to the running totals.
I really like this app but it is annoying that it lets the phone sleep, so unless you touch the screen to keep it up it shuts off the display. Not very good for a GPS app.
I like the idea but the execution is lacking somewhat. Lean angle recording assumes a rigidly mounted, vertically oriented device and will barely record angles at all with the device laying flat underneath my back seat while I sport ride. (Saw reported angles of 89 degrees on my last ride!) Needs a setting for device orientation to fix that. Reverse engineer the Pirelli Superbike app, guys, they figured it out more or less. Seem to be very few active users in my area, messages go unanswered surprisingly consistently even from users I've met face to face.
Could improve, between waze, rever, and gmaps this app records more details but the lean angle sucks. Please add an option to calibrate and put the 0 yourself when you mount your phone.
Tapping the app only opens a message saying "Unfortunately, ESR has stopped." Tried turning on location settings and restarting my phone; no luck. My device is a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running Android version 4.4.4. App seems incompatible.
App will not even get past log in screen. Just sits there doing nothing. Stay away from app all togethee.
Buggy can't plan my ride just records.
Basic functionality like uploading a photo of my bike doesn't even work.
Great app, tech support was fast and extremly helpful
After reading the reviews and new updates. I installed today on my S6. filled out set up account page and clicked create. I got a nice box up saying are you sure this is correct. . obviously I clicked yes.... doesn't let me go any further... shame as I was recommended it
I like the idea of the app it worked well for time and where I am but the millage is always wrong. It would show me exactly where I went and how many hours I spent but say I drove 7 miles... I emailed tech support almost 2 weeks ago for the issue and no response.
In theory it's great but it has done shortcomings. 1- when entering text, the first letter in a sentence isn't automatically capitalized 2-when looking at nearby riders or routes, the map zooms back out as soon as you click on something (why not stay where I zoomed?) 3-There is no option to keep the screen on, which means it goes to sleep and in not 100% sure that crashlight is still running at this point 4- The map doesn't seem to follow you while you ride, so you can't use it for old school map navigation 5- there's no suggestions or contact us option so I have to leave all this in my app review. 6- (the big one) If crashlight is triggered, it gives you three minutes to cancel it, but if you really need help, there's no way to skip those three minutes. (That I'm aware of) I'm going to continue to use the app with the hope that it will get better. The concept is sound and I love the idea of the crashlight feature.
I like it when it works. It has crashed on me a couple of times. Had to reinstall. Not sure if it is my phone's fault. The competition between friends for the HD 100 challenge is great. I've been to places that I haven't seen before and have rode more this year than I have before.
Great concept but unfortunately many ride stats such as lean angle do not seem to work unless the phone is mounted vertically. My phone mount is kept horizontally for best visibility and therefore ride stats are generally useless. After reinstalling the app (to correct app crash issue after upgrade), all previously recorded rides were lost. ESR seems good for social connections for riding but because ESR doesn't have all features of a complete GPS, I find myself switching between Waze and ESR while riding. This interrupts my recorded rides as well. In summary, although ESR seemed like a great app initially, I'm finding it less useful with each ride. If these issues would be corrected, I would love to start using it again.
Kills battery on Android in 2 hours, constant notifications to shut down app to save battery. Not bad concept but lacking in delivery.
Nice but lean angle needs to be able to be zeroed out based on phone mounting. Needs to rotate for landscape view. When those are active I'll come back and use the app.
This app doesn't respond nearly as good on android versus the iPhone app never recognized when I'm riding and doesn't record rides I do
Downloaded the app but I can't get passed the login screen, either it asks me if I want to log out or I get a "no internet connection" error. I've wasted half an hour trying to log in and with no luck.
Love the maps to see where I've ridden. Being a new rider, this keeps my history of experiences. Very cool!
It recorded my ride time but says I travelled 0 km after I went 154km. Waste of battery.
Overall pretty nice. I'd like it to update my rides more often. I've road over 300 miles this week, all short rides but it's telling me I've only road a bit over a 100 miles .

Sigh. I really want to use this app but yet it's anther application that insists on starting up on boot and running in the background with no settings/options to stop, so I will be uninstalling. PLEASE DEVELOPERS: Please give us an option to choose to opt out of start on boot. I only want this app running when I'm riding and not chewing up resources and battery the rest of the time.
