EASA PPL Exams for Android
As a student pilot, I couldn't live without this app. The developer went far beyond the call of duty when I had a problem specific to my device.
Very good app, very helpful but I work away for long periods with no access to the Internet and voila doesn't bloody work... Please sort out.
For helicopter-specific exams, most questions are CPL level. And the bug of exam getting reset on screen lock or switching to another app, is extremely annoying and never fixed.
5 stars when it works, obviously useless when it doesn't.
Author should check app for errors before release / charging customers. Font size tiny on Samsung Galaxy S4 when selecting exam subject and questions / answers display hundreds of question mark in diamonds symbols throughout text no doubt to replace unrecognisable characters such as degrees etc. Tests also reset themselves when screen save mode is activated which is very frustrating. Impossible to read through the correct answer before next question displayed.
Why does this simple app need such extensive permissions? Phone call monitoring, reading my contacts?!
I am rating this app just on the use of the communications module as I am about to take my ppl communications exam and practical. I think the questions in this app relate to the ATPL theory exams, not the PPL exams. The PPL exam title is "Communications-PPL", not in this app which is called " VFR Communications", ie one of the ATPL exam titles. This is reinforced by the terminology used in the app questions: for example, one question asks the meaning of "SNOCLO", more ATPL than PPL.
If you get an answer wrong, the display showing the right answer in green, doesn't stay on the screen long enough to read it.
I could barely see what subject i was trying to click. Needs work so i refunded the app. Great idea !
Brilliant preparation for my PPL exams. Question bank limited but very relevant and accurate. Minor bugs, but an absolute must! I recommend reading the books and content first then using the app to translate the knowledge to what the EASA/CAA want.
Why has the question bank gone down to 16 questions. Also some of the question wording is so obviously wrong which in turn means that in some cases there are 2 possible answers out of the 4. This could very easily be a 5 star app with minor adjustments.
The application is very cool and its like testing you and giving your records time corrects mistakes and time and percentage , am just wondering does it have like thee FULL Qustion Bank for EASA for each subject !?
Some of the questions have incorrect or misleading answers. For example, one question had 2 identical answers among the four choices, another one simply asked "regarding taxi procedures and holding points" and then had two possible answers, depending on whether you were talking about taxi procedures (don't cross the red bars) or holding points (designed to provide safe separation). Also, the question selection seems rather limited, which doesn't really test ones overall knowledge
The questions in this app really prep you well for taking the real thing. This makes this app a fantastic resource for those who will take these exams as part of the EASA PPL or LAPL. And still cheaper than just about any other study guide you can buy in print. Users upgrading from earlier versions may need to uninstall and reinstall to get the app to work right. Have done this myself and it's an easy no cost option.
Good concept, although overpriced considering: Not enough question variety per subject, once you've been through a test once only one or two questions seem to change at most thereafter. Icons very small and don't adjust to screen size. Also there's a bug where if the screen dims after a short period of inactivity, the test resets itself. If these problems are fixed I would give 5 stars.

This app provides excellent preparation for the EASA exams. Based on the two exams I have done so far (Air Law and Human Factors), the questions are representative, and a good result on this app ought to translate into a good mark in the exam.
I was a little surprised to see the callsign of my aircraft in one of the exam questions - G-BNSR, at which point I looked you up and found that you own G-BNSP! As a fellow Slingsby lover I like your app even more!

Excellent highly recommended for anyone doing a PPL. This app along with the developers ground school put pass rate to 95% each time!

Plenty of grammatically incorrect statements in questions, making it difficult to understand what the questions mean. One has to guess the context and intended meaning and go from there. If this is the standard of the actual Air Law questions, then I'm going to have a tough time.
