Magic TV

Look the app could use some work sure, People miss the point of this app. When you camp, out on the boat anywhere there isn't internet this thing is great! You also need the hardware from Walmart or wherever it like $30 or something. This has not me news in storms, games on the boat, TV while camping. If you use your head it can be awesome

The app connected to the device once. It never connected again. I'm unsure if the issue is with the device or the app, but it seems to be more to do with the app. I've only used the device outside.

Oh my gosh .. your programmer(s) should bow their head(s) in shame. Magic TV is now listed on my Wall-O-Shame. This product is FAR from ready for prime time, if it will ever be. It is unable to maintain a WiFi connection to any Android device for more than a minute. Everything seems to work (if you can get through a channel scan before it disconnects), and then there's no WiFi connection - where did it go? The MagicTV SSID disappears from the WiFi list for about 1-2 minute before reappearing. I'm able to reconnect, eventually, and start watching again, but within a minute the thing disconnects again .. and again ... and again ... and again. Maybe your programmers would be better off in another line of work? They are as bad as the Android OS programmers, but at least they are releasing updates everyday trying to fix their bugs .. eventually, one hopes.

Will return to Walmart. Not at all what it is supposed to be. App crashes when you scan for available channels.

Just got this for my husband for a gift and decided to give it a try.(he's not technical). It worked great the scanning is a little longer than usual for channels but I picked up 10 channels and we live in a rural area. Placed unit in front unit using the external antenna went to back of house and was still able to connect and watch on my phone. Took a ride to the Lake and scanned and picked up some Canada channels. Would have given 5 stars but scanning does take up some time, and needs to have an indicator for low charge.

Does not connect to internet and also program does not allow to connect to different wireless connection.

I have to defend this. The people that are giving it a bad rating are running the antenna indoor. It's an antenna that is self powered so it's not as strong as an indoor he antenna. If setup correctly and antenna switch is flicked on from the bottom of the unit everything works just fine. It's always so ignorant to blame everything on the developer when the person who makes the comment does not understand how technology or Internet actually works. Let alone they cannot develop anything for that matter. Yes this unit will produce a WiFi said broadcast just to use it so you will not have internet access simultaneously, if you want internet access just disconnect from it plain and simple. That's because there would be no other way to deliver this content to your device. Bluetooth would never become an option.

I'm getting my money back from Sal mart this is the 1st ever 1 star cuzit didn't work at all
