About Strength

Strength is a different kind of workout app.
Instead of tediously inputting your own routine day by day, select from several proven routines for building strength, muscle, and endurance, then let Strength build a complete routine tailored to your ability.

Strength exists to replace the spreadsheet and pencil and paper workout tracking method and makes it easy for you to build your next workout routine. Strength is focused and easy to use, and the routines it contains can help you achieve your fitness goals.

Strength syncs with Google Fit so you can view aggregate fitness data.

FEATURES
• Quick, easy routine creation
• Workout tracking
• Automatic rest timer
• Customizable Plate Calculator
• Full routine overview
• Google Fit synchronization
• Multiple routine support

HOW IT WORKS
You pick one of the proven routines built in to Strength. You input a recent RM, PR, or just a challenging set for all of the exercises of your chosen routine. If you don't know, you can go to the gym and find out or enter a conservative guess.

Strength does the rest, building out your entire routine for you and taking out the guesswork. Strength then makes it easy for you to track your progress, see what your next workout is, track weight, reps, sets, and rest time in the gym, and stay organized. Strength keeps track of where in your workout your are so you don't have to. It calculates how much weight you should be lifting per set so you don't have to do calculations while you're in the gym, and it will even tell you the ideal plate combination to load that weight on a barbell.

Strength even lets you track multiple routines simultaneously, and then syncs all of your workouts to Google Fit so that you have records of your workout duration history all in one place.

Can't say too much else, decent app, made decent gainz ...however, a little disappointing that smolov Jr is only 3 days on the app, I digress, it's awesome :D

This app was EXACTLY what I needed! It helps me (a complete novice) begin to understand how Blaha's ICF program develops as you work. LOVE the integration into Google Fit also, very very handy.

S70%
by S####:

I like that this app has a lot of workout routines programmed in (No, it's not bad that they don't let you modify the routines). From what I've seen, the workouts are accurate to their official forms and it's very friendly to those that like to see raw numbers. My problem with this app is that it's a bit buggy and regularly dumps my workout progress. Also, there is no option to adjust bar weight to a non standard size (i.e. a 44 lb metric bar with imperial weights). The rest timers are buggy too.

by B####:

It is simple, and has great potential, but the plate calculator is way off. For a 185 pound Squat it wanted me to put 3 - 25 pound plates per side and 1 - 2.5 pound plate on each side; that's 155 pounds. After you add in the bar weight this app's 185 is actually 200. I'm switching to a different app for Wendler 5/3/1.

Love the app

Easy to use; syncs with google fit; great if you're happy to go with their pre-built workouts. The only improvement I'm looking for is the ability to create your own workout.

Awesome App! Really looking forward to the addition of Texas method and other workouts. Would love if it could sync to S Health. I know that everyone doesn't use Samsung devices, but it would be cool.

Hi guys. I'm using metric system. I've selected my available plates as 20, 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25 but it will calculate and give me weights to put on the bar that I aren't possible with any available combination of plates that I have, i.e. 129.5.

Z70%
by Z####:

None of the math for the plates I have selected add up. I also underestimated my beginning weights and jumped up a few lbs, but every workout after didnt go up with it, so I have to re-enter my weight on every workout.

Z70%
by Z####:

Seems like it's suggesting weight amounts that are not possible with the available plates that I have selected. If these are 'ideal' and I'm supposed to just get as close as possible, then the recording phase should be improved so I don't have to type the actual weight I'm doing EVERY time.

Please please add Greyskull LP. Not having Starting Strength also seems like a huge omission. The UI is great, but it is unclear to me how to enter my own starting weights. The calculations produce odd units (89 lbs?) Love the integration with Google Fit.

I don't see myself using this without the ability to create custom routines.

Z70%
by Z####:

But needs a lot of work. Needs custom routines. Needs to sync setup to Google drive. I didn't like being forced to enter past data once let alone again on another device. I haven't figured out the weights part yet.... Will get back to that later but something seems inflexible here.

Z70%
by Z####:

I've been looking for a good workout tracking (weightlifting specifically) app after many disappointments. So far this app is looking really good. Things I like: *Rest timer that starts after you enter set info *Customize which weights you have available *Light and snappy *Google Fit integration What I'm REALLY looking forward to: *Custom routines *Viewing history of specific workout (exercise/sets/reps instead of just total time)

The app looks solid, however, as a bodyweigth strength athlete, I'm still waiting for the convict conditioning portion of the app to be apparent. Adding to that, i hope that the dev takes into consideration the ability to add and/our modify certain aspects such as CC1, CC2, and CC3. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it and hope I'm not disappointed with my purchase.

Big flaw: I recently had to transfer devices only to discover that my data didn't come with me. Also maybe add friends as a feature. Otherwise, I'm glad to have spotted this app.

Z70%
by Z####:

I sent you an email detailing my thoughts. But basically, I'm excited to see more features and a better icon!

Z70%
by Z####:

I have been looking for an app that lets me detail the weight and reps per set for each exercise prior to me arriving at the gym. This way, I know exactly what to do once I arrive. This is a good start for main lifts and strength training but I would still need a separate app, sheet or paper or track my assistance work. Almost there, hope for a little more customization from the app.

T70%
by T####:

Ok, but I'll wait for custom routines. Would also like good visual descriptions for routines as a help for beginners.

This is a great app for beginners! Guides you step by step and has great incentives to keep you going (:
