Dyson Link for Android
The app is good when I am connected to my home WiFi; however fails from any other connection. Also, very sad that it received Amazon Alexa integration but no Google Assistant / Google Home integration - this would have been great to have.
Just took my Dyson cool link out of the box to find out, MY REMOTE DOESN'T WORK! $450 FOR A FAN, the remote should st least work for a day. Very disappointed!!
I worked hours but still could not connect to my pure cool link with my Android phone. However, the iPhone version works very smooth. I am wondering if anyone else has the same problem as I do.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the app is difficult to use....i have tried controlling it from my android phone and my wife's iPhone and whatever you set up on the schedule has absolutely no impact on the fan which seems to do what it wants ... sometimes it goes all night until cutting off at 6.30 am the following day..... other times it just cuts off after 2 minutes... it never goes on for a time you've set and I've given up on it really. Why do things like this have to be so hard....frankly I am really surprised.. I expected more from Dyson... it appears good design stops with the physical product....
Is great to set the timer or set just before you arrive home via the app and links with IFTT for Google Assistant, would be great with direct Google links though.
This purifier is off the chain! It knows every time someone lights a bong in the house! I can monitor air quality anywhere! App is simple and integrates well with the purifier. The cool links' performance and features is blowing.
Over 30min and it still won't connect to this dyson. Waste of time, glad I didn't buy one.
Great app, very stable and now with Amazon Echo support. Where is the Google Home support?
I can't believe it's so difficult to connect to this app for a product costing so much is very disappointing. I'm returning this product tomorrow...

3/25/2017: I don't like the fact it doesn't give me option to set my timings in a.m. and p.m. all it gives me as a military time which I don't like. also in the app there's no way to customize temperature preferences for cooling and heating differently for each day throughout in the whole week schedule I'm so confused. I'm also surprised that they don't have Alexa or IFTTT integration , I have two Alexa and one Google home and lot of home automation done I would have preferred to be able to talk to Alexa to manage Dyson cool and heat. Dyson needs to make smart devices.
App loses connectivity to Dyson device a lot, especially when I leave my Wi-Fi network and come back. Have to spend several mins either trying to reconfigure connection, or just delete/ reconnect device as new (loses your device history)
June 18 2017:Does not connect. I have been trying for over an hour. I used my husband's iPhone and it still didn't connect. Even the reviews are bad on the app store. June 19 2017: (Update!!) FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK. guessing it was a network issue... I don't know. Maybe we needed to wait a day since it's new? Just happy that it's working :)
Does everything on the remote and much more, can set the timer in 24 hours, 7 days week, 52 weeks a year, what everway either hot or cold difference times on different days and repeat each week to what ever suits your needs best. Totally fantastic I truly love it, since I bought ago my hayfever no longer exists in my home. This is one of the best hot, cold and purifier on the market. Worth every penny. Big well done Dyson
Why the flaming fek do I need to create an account just to operate this overpriced fan! When a user loses the ability to directly control an appliance it ceases to be useful. Bad design, worse ap!
Very disappointed with filter replacement experience. Was not expecting to be bounced out to the standard website not optimised for smart phone where Australia is not selected for me and is hard to switch to. My order then failed multiple times with generic errors. Really terrible
Does not work if you have special characters in your Wi-Fi password. I am not changing to a less secure password to control a fan!!! Are there any future plans to change the app to recognise special characters?
In general app is pretty easy to use and quite handy however some of the integration features don't work i. e. for some reason I'm unable to link my account with alexa and this was main selling point for me... Sent an email to Dyson asking for help on this issue but no one bothered to respond
App is OK. It connected to the fan easily, by creating an account it allowed other users in the house to see the same fan. But, the schedule for the fan is either On or Auto, there is no off option. The fan is turning itself On from Auto by itself ;could be the fan or the app. A link to IFTTT would be good to allow the fan to turn on if the room got too warm, or so we can log triggers or something similar.
App is ok. Keeps crashing when I chose schedule, product guide and setting. Running Android Nougat all apps up to date
Good app but it crashes everytime I select schedule/product guide/settings. I am running Android 7.0 on Samsung Galaxy S8+, needs to be resolved paid $750 Aud not good enough.
Worse program i have ever used. You can connect to the internet or to the machine but not both. You must be connected to the internet to connect to the machine, see the paradox? Huge disapointment considering i have 3 dyson products.
Why create an account to use the product. All i want is to connect to the fan. Marketing rubbish. Edit: I take it that you didnt read my review as i know you need to make an account. i just find it a waist of time if all i want to do is control the fan. All Dyson is after is email for marketing rubbish.
I have WPA2 password on my Wi-Fi network with 63 characters. The app will not connect to the cloud at all. I have to connect to my guest network which doesn't have that much characters and it finally works
Dyson: Please add a 'Recover Robot' button to the app to tell it to try again. Just got the 360 Eye and it get stuck randomly on nothing at least once per cleaning cycle so it has to be checked up on in person. Notification comes to the app when it gets stuck but you have to physically be there to press the resume button on the unit so it's stopped until you can return home.
Could never get past the connecting screen. Said it would take a few minutes 1hr ago.
App is fantastic. No issue connecting to my fan. Setup was very easy. Lots of cool stuff inside. However i cant find where to register the fan for the 2 yr guarantee??
Very crap that u must have Wifi. Doesnt help if your wifi on the phone doesnt work anymore. Very poor setup considering i cant even access the app.
The app makes the purifier quite smart. It does all what I would expect from it, incl data history/tracking.

I love my hot-cool link purifier. Is the best. But I had 2 flaws. Consumes too much electrical power (my bill went to the roof, 30% increase). And is missing google home compatibility. Fix that and I'll give you 5 stars.
